Actresses Legs Quiz

  • 463:  Searching a lot.  The closest I have come is a publicity shot of Lana Turner for Green Dolphin Street.  Matches the clues.  The image I found matches the pose, the hands and the dress, but the background is totally different.  Also, GDS is a period piece and the dress is not right for the period.

Here is the e-bay publicity shot I found
    https://www.ebay.com/itm/156241075113

462:  The clues are pointing toward Joan Blondell, but cant find an image.  AI thinks The Office Wife, but I dont think so.
  • You certainly have been busy searching.

The 463 answer is indeed Lana Turner, so well done. The eBay image though isn't a publicity shot from Green Dolphin Street, but is scene from the film Marriage is A Private Affair from 1944.

         .

Well done again for answering 462. as you are also correct in identifying the actress as being Joan Blondell. It isn't The Office wife though as the film in question is There's Always A Woman from 1938.

Correct Olivia Newton-John seen below dancing with Michael Beck in Xanadu from 1980.                                                                                                I thought that you would have also known Midnight Lace as well in the now answered Classic Quiz as well.

  • A further clue for 465 is stranded.

Correct as it is indeed Lucille Ball, and again well done.

Although I do consider this clue as being a very good one, someone has contacted me privately to express that they don't think this is the case. I will now add another clue then, with this being a remake of this film happened in the 1950s
  • Elvis? Blue Hawaii or Paradise, Hawaiian Style, but I don't recognise the image.

Not either. How about then the further clue of Rio.

A final clue is mother out west.
  • Time is running out for 466. If it remains unanswered, I will then step in shortly to reveal the title. The combination of my four clues I thought would have helped in working out the answer.
  • You must think outside the box with the elvis clue.  Not a typical elvis flick
  • O.k. then time to reveal that the answer to 466 is Delores Del Rio appearing In a scene from Bird Of Paradise. (1932).  Let's credit Jayn.j ,although not answering here for knowing the answer.

The clues given were as follows.

    Elvis.
A remake of this film happened in the 1950s. Bird Of Paradise (1951).
Rio. She starred in Flying Down To Rio (1933).
Mother out west. Played The mother of Elvis in the western film FlamIng Star (1960). No one has seen it?

I really thought that the combination of the above clues would have worked, but this wasn't to be the case.
