  •  C272

A clue for the above image is that it is not the genre of film you most likely may believe it to be.

Try thinking outside the box with this one.
  • C272 looks a little like the Polish "Raiders of the Lost Ark" poster...but not quite. Or is it?

It isn't right, but on saying that I do like your thinking though.

  • An additional image to hopefully assist in finding an answer for C272.
  • Buggered if I know!

Try and figure out what the last posted image is of. Do this and you should hopefully be on your way to working out the answer.
  • Is that a rear gunner on an aircraft?

  • Is that a rear gunner on an aircraft?
You're on the right path now.

Hopefully a little more expanded image of C272 may assist..
  • Or is it a submarine????

It is an image of a aircraft, The film is set during World War One, and has been  called one of the best aviation movies ever made
  • I could guess and say Wings (1927), but that's just a guess.

  • I could guess and say Wings (1927), but that's just a guess.
Good guess, but not that one.

As C272 has proved to be a real problem in identifying, I will now reveal the answer to be the Howard Hughes production of  Hell's Angels from 1930.

  • I did look at stills from that but couldn't see the skull image.

    Peter
  •  C274
For a bit of fun a similar style of image to the just answered Hell's Angels one.

This time the image is from a film genre that it looks like it would be from. I will point out though this film certainly isn't a classic, but nevertheless  is a well made movie starring big name stars.
  • I did look at stills from that but couldn't see the skull image.
Regarding your Hell's Angels comment it would appear that along with some earlier comments that some of my posted images are difficult to locate at times, so sorry about that.
  • Not a problem, I just entered "Hell's Angels skull" in Google and it popped up as the first image!

    Peter

  • C274 clue is that a similar image to the above one appears on a good number of posters that were printed for this film.
  • Final C274 clue is where the arrow is situated.
  • Eye of the Devil?
  • Rick said:
    Eye of the Devil?
Yes that is the answer for C274. Eye Of The Devil from 1967.

As seen below the arrow actually appears in the left side eye socket.

The U.S.A. one sheet has the arrow on the right side, the U.S. three sheet on the left side , and due to censorship problems no arrow appears at all on the Australian daybill poster.

  •   C275
Another image to have a think about.

  • Carl Reiner there but I cant place that image from a movie????
  • C275 I would guess The Russians are Coming The Russians are Coming, because it is the only movie I remember Carl Reiner in when he was young (I  hope I am right and that is him at least!).

There is no such scene in the movie itself, but that was my first thought too...

Yes you are correct with your guess. It is Carl Reiner in The Russians Are Coming The Russians Are Coming from 1966. I thought I would throw in an Alan Arkin movie.

Are you sure about this scene not being in the movie?

Yep, I have seen this several times...no such scene in the film...do you have a link to it?
  • I reckon its from the trailer, not the movie.
  • I reckon its from the trailer, not the movie.
You are spot on with your guess.

If you go into the IMDb there is an extended 4 minute and 28 second trailer. The trailer starts with the scene in question, and runs up to 1m 9s, then at 2.56s until 3m10s it resumes. Unfortunately I haven't any sound on my computer at the present time, so I have absolutely no idea on what is being said.
