BTW, a18 is Margaret OBrian in Heller in Pink Tights. I did image search here as I never would have guessed that beauty was the same freckled kid in Meet Me in St Louis
Yes it is a grown up Margaret O'Brien from Heller in Pink Tights in 1960. Sorry I missed your answer earlier. The only thing I can think off is your answer had arrived in close proximity to me answering your earlier reply.
Margaret O'Brien in a scene from Heller In Pink Tights, appearing on the far left of the image.
Margaret will be remembered for her films of the 1940's, including those included below.
Correct again. Time After Time ( 1979 ). Seen below in a scene with Malcolm McDowell whom Mary married in 1980. The marriage lasted until 1990 when they divorced. She is currently married to Ted Danson who she married in 1995.

Actually, that is David Warner in the image. He played Jack the Ripper in the Great film.

Late in responding, but have been without the internet since the above was received. and only back on line a little while ago.
Sorry to disagree but the above actor is definately Malcolm McDowell.
Malcolm McDowell on the left and David Warner on the right side of the above image. You can notice the haircut, moustache, glasses, bow tie and clothing on Malcolm McDowell are the same as in the scene with Mary Steenburgen. David Warner is clean shaven, has a different hair style, no glasses and is wearing a normal tie.
David Warner playing Jack The Ripper with Mary Steenburgen.
Yeah, I see it now. I didn't see the glasses at first and thought of a different scene. A favorite film of mine back then and I had a laserdisc. You could feel the chemistry between the two stars

Ok, make it Peggy Sue Garner. Confused by the hairdo.
Correct now for A25. I fully understand the confusion with Virginia Leith with her short hairstyle that this other actress had in the film. .
Peggy Ann Garner a former child star from the 1940's was now grown up in 1954 and given a new look in Black Widow.
The following images are from the period when she will be most remembered from.
A Tree Grows In Brooklyn ( 1945 ) and Jayne Eyre ( 1943 ), appearing with Elizabeth Taylor ,who wasn't billed in the film.
Peggy Ann Garner seen above in 1946 with her ''outsanding child actress of 1945'' Academy Award. This award was presented to her as being the winner of the Academy Juvenile Award of that year.
A22 is Tanja Elg in the 1959 version of The 39 Steps
Correct.
Taina Elg with Kennrth More in a scene from The 39 Steps.
Just a couple of late included images that I hadn't included earlier.
Taina's most likely best remembered film Les Girls ( 1957 ). Seen above on the far right side, then a nice image of her credited as being taken in 1955.

A final clue for the yet unanswered image number A22 is Alfred Hitchcock.

David Warner playing Jack The Ripper with Mary Steenburgen.
A enlarged image of Malcolm McDowell.
A nice image of Mary from the film.

One well known actress that I am wondering if someone will quess her identity straight away of not.
IMDB says person on left is Lucy. Others, including myself say it is Kathryn Hepburn
Is this actress from the extended image Katharine Hephurn or Lucille Ball as Jay,, j mentioned above? Let's hear from others then?
