True! I was thinking that if I bought 4-5 really nice pieces, linenbacked them, them put them all in a large frame with matting to display all together that would look sweet! hmmmm... a plan might just be in the works...

This radiant stone litho illustration is by far one of the best
images of Katharine Hepburn to ever grace a poster. Only two years
into her Hollywood career, Hepburn had already become a highly
regarded actress due to her impressive range of talent. Most
notably, she won the 1933 Academy Award for Best Actress as Eva
Lovelace in Morning Glory and attracted scores of audience
members to her landmark performance as Jo March in Little
Women. Offered for the first time by Heritage, the colors in
this lovely illustration are just as brilliant as the day they were
printed. The poster shows very little wear with only pinholes, a
light vertical crease at the top border and background, small
mirrored tears in the top and bottom borders, and a slight edge
tear at the left center horizontal fold. There is mild edge wear

Supernatural (Paramount, 1933). One Sheet (27.5" X 41").
A poster as stunning as it is scarce, this spectral portrait of Carole Lombard is the first of any paper Heritage has ever offered for this pre-Code ghost story. In fact, it is one of only three copies known to exist. After the rampant success of Universal's horror hits Frankenstein and Dracula, Paramount wanted to cash in on the newest box office craze and signed up the recently popular horror director, Victor Halperin. As Hollywood's first feature length zombie film, his undead production White Zombie had generated an abundant number of ticket sales, results that Paramount aimed to reproduce. Halperin immediately picked White Zombies' Madge Bellamy to be his next leading lady, but the studio pushed the starlet aside for a more unconventional casting choice. Instead, they insisted that one of the 1930s' reigning queens of comedy, Carole Lombard, should play the film's homicidal heiress. Lombard was not enthused. Considering herself as a comedienne first and foremost, she protested the casting at every turn, constantly clashing with the director and even threatening to sabotage the film. Despite all her bluster, the up and coming starlet stretched into the full breadth of her dramatic range to put forth an impressive performance, transforming from a bereaved sibling into a sultry spirit's puppet. The film also features another unusual casting choice, Western hero Randolph Scott, who trades in his cowboy duds for a dapper tux as Lombard's valiant fiancée. Possessing a mesmerizing illustration of the beautiful starlet, this poster's skillful stone litho printing positively glows with its rich lighting and sinister shadows. Exquisite on display, the one sheet has had professional restoration to address a few scattered pinholes in the borders and interior, some minor surface scuffs, and a couple of mild tears in the bottom border and background. There were two chips in the upper right and lower right corners, and a hole in the right black background. There has been slight touchup to the folds, borders, and the "L" of "Supernatural." A rare sight to see at auction, this one sheet hasn't been up for sale since 2001. Any classic collector or fan of cinema's darker side would be remiss to pass up such an immense opportunity. Frankenstein (Universal, 1931). One Sheet (27" X 41").
One of only six copies known to exist, Heritage has the exceedingly rare privilege of presenting this incredible stone litho one sheet, a stunning prize most collectors could only dream of winning. To say that the 1931 horror classic Frankenstein was monumental would be more than a gross understatement. It is, perhaps, the most influential film in Hollywood history. Not only did this adaptation of Mary Shelley's classic novel bring the young horror genre into the mainstream, but it also provided nearly every horror cliché we see today: the mad scientist, the misunderstood monster, the angry villagers carrying torches, the dark laboratory filled with science fictional devices, and the creepy assistant. All of these staple creative elements owe their existence to this masterpiece. The same could be said for a slew of movie monsters as well, from Leatherface in The Texas Chainsaw Massacre to the Creature from the Black Lagoon. Director James Whale and makeup artist Jack Pierce made a lasting impact when they brought Mary Shelley's Monster to life with Boris Karloff's terrifying visage and ultimate performance. Rather than simply "monumental," this film is the stuff of legends. Another piece of this kind may not surface for years, making this an opportunity not to be ignored. A great sweeping image featuring portraits of all the major players, this poster once showed tears and chipping in the borders and body of the poster prior to its restoration. There was a section of paper loss in the right border and interior through Mae Clarke's upper image, a strip of paper loss through Dwight Frye's image into the "A" of the title, and the black Universal credit box at the bottom has been replaced. The poster was once mounted on wood, resulting in some areas of surface paper loss on the verso, However, Karloff's iconic Monster and several cast members have their images intact in this wonderful, display-ready acquisition.
