Correct. Half a point for David who had the answer but didn't know it and a full point for Ted who did and who produced the answer in a clever way.
  • The original movie poster image of Felix The Cat: The Movie for those who must have images.
  •  # 16. Name the film title and who are the two real life people being portrayed ?
  • They are famous actors.
  • Why, that's Edward G. Robinson and Greta Garbo in Mother Goose Goes Hollywood

Now, I've answered several of these correctly but my Paypal balance is still the same.  Where's the love?

Correct. # 16 is the Walt Disney Silly Symphony Mother Goose Goes To Hollywood from 1938, with the caricatures of the stars identified. Some controversy when is was first released and still talked about today about the film being racist. View the cartoon provided and make up your own mind.

No monetary payments here as we do it just for the love of it. Recognition of your skills by me should be reward enough. Excellent work you are doing. Does that work ?

  •  # 17. Name the film title.
  • Marco Polo

You apparently know the film, so close enough. For the record Marco Polo Jnr. Versus The Red Dragon  ( aka Marco Polo Junior ) ( 1972 ) is the answer. This film was Australia's first feature length animated film.
  • Oh well..I thought  it was The Rescuers... :s
  • Jnr! Red Dragon!

Could not remember...didn't like the film/quality didn't make it through it at all.

  •   # 18.     # 19.  Name the two film titles. As easy as you will get to answer.
  •  For the record the title in Australia for # 17 was Marco Polo Versus The Red Dragon as appears on this daybill poster.
  • #18 ?
#19 - Lady and the Tramp!

    # 19 correct. Lady And The Tramp was released in 1955.

Clue for 18. In the spotlight this year.

  • Final clue for # 18 is that an Australian singer went there.

                                                                                   # 18 answer is Rio ( 2011 ).

Clues were - ''In the spotlight this year'' and this being the Rio Olympics.'' An Australian singer went there'' and this referred to Peter Allen who recorded ''I go To Rio''. All I can do is supply the clues.

  • Good one Lawrence! I admire your ability to capture just "the right" image to keep us all guessing :)
  • Thank you Rosa. I try not to use the  too obvious images.
  •  # 20. Name the film title.
  • #20.  Took some research.  Was initially looking at Warner's Silly Symphony series, in particular the ones where they put 40 stars into a 5 minute cartoon.  Never found them particularly amusing.

While researching that, I stumbled on a series of Colombia Pictures cartoons which were a response to the Warner stuff, and there it was.
    Hollywood Picnic (1937).

Found it on this page: http://journeytojohnsbrain.blogspot.com/2008/08/color-rhapsodies-child-no-one-could.html
  • Very good. I've seen half of those Colombia ones but not Hollywood Picnic.

Correct and very good researching. Hollywood Picnic of course being part of Columbia Pictures Colour Rhapsodies cartoon series.
  •  Image # 21. Name the film title. I am hoping it will be an easy one to answer.
