Presume you saw a new member has been adding some serious posters for the serious collector Reggie? Even if you already have them it should make you happy?
The life of a celebrity...had some photos taken for some newspaper article about Bidll (buy your copy, they will be rare and sort after in the future), for all those who were wondering who the hell is this guy...
Great pics David (even if your mug is front and centre over top the beautiful posters !
Does the article speak at all about your desire for collecting - why you collect, what you like etc? Or is it more of a general overview of the hobby and your recently launched website?

Trust me, I'd prefer not to be in them...
The articles are a bit of everything, how/when it all started, why it goes on etc and also about the website too. Got a newspaper interview tomorrow, I think their angle is about the posters and the hobby, intertwined in that will be BIDLL - but of course this interview is yet to happen so no idea until it hits the newsstands.
I have listed and sold some pretty cool stuff on there already, others have done the same - items that the buyers have been extremely happy to see/get, some that were quite rare too - so why don't you start listing some of your stuff...
And nice to hear you are not in the crime section of the newspaper
Again! Gosh my mum will be pleased, she never had clippings she could share.
Interesting interview yesterday, the photographer came early so we did the shots, he was right into the gear loved what he saw was just amazed etc etc; the (20 something, female) reporter came later (after the photographer had gone), she found the whole collecting "interesting" (read: slightly weird), asked all the stock questions about poster collecting, how, why etc
What was my favourite? Don't have one specific one because my favourite ones means something different.
Your favourites must have cost a lot of money? No not really, some do and some don't, one of my favs cost me $5. "What's it worth now?" About $5 "So why is it your favourite?" Because I like the imagery (Daybill, Charlie Chaplin - The Funniest Man in the World).
Do poster get more valuable over time? Some do some don't, but if you are going to collect for the money then you will probably lose money.
What is you most expensive one worth? I won't tell you (security).
What so of posters do people collect? I explained some collect on poster type, actors, directors, movies they loved, genres and so on. Said I had a friend in the USA who collects everything and anything Audrey Hepburn ("oh he must be weird" - yes, extremely)
These rare ones must cost a lot of money? No not really, rare doesn't always mean expensive...
What does you wife think? Sh puts up with it and supports me but said she has a few posters too, but of movies she likes, (we also talked about women/men ratio)
etc etc
Overall I tried to encourage the hobby as something fun to get into
I did get to talk about BIDLL too, we'll see what she write there.
Ultimately who knows how the article will come out...but hopefully it is good for the hobby (and of course for Bidll)
Hi David, Im sure you've heard it before an you don't need to hear it again from me, but god dayum that's a hell of a collection you have!
Thank-you, but a mere whippet compared to some of the greyhound collectors in this forum, if you haven't already then check them out here, stuff to drool over:

I need to know if I must begin postponing my extensive letter writing pastime until after the auction...
