Went out to eat with some co-workers yesterday. Naturally the restaurant was featuring Corned Beef. So my buddy is in a bit of a dilemma. He's a good Irish Catholic, and here it is, St Patrick's Day on a Friday in Lent. Is he Irish, or is he Catholic? What would Paddy O'Laughlin do? He sighed and ordered the fish fry.
The rest of us naturally ordered the corned beef and spent the entire meal talking about how good it was and offering him bites. Nothing quite like tormenting your buddy.

Let's hope he at least had something stout to wash it down with...
Down in beautiful Torquay. Just rode for 145km, of which 3 sets of hills almost broke us. Harder than the 210 Round the Bay we did in November. We marked that one off the list...never again.

You now have permission from your body to eat and drink ANYTHING you desire today..enjoy!
Im not pulling those kms any more. Just a 1 x 40km ride a week (looking after.kids adds 105km) But since November ive added another discipline to the mix...skipping...lots a fun and a great workout..
No, no. I always check the pre1940 category and saw the posters when they were listed as an 99c auction. Put them on my watchlist and a while later saw them there as canceled and relisted. Went to the relisted listing and saw they were sold. A bit pricey I believe...
Dear US members: our piece-of-shit president is now at your territory. Could you please keep him forever there? I don't care how, just make sure he doesn't come back down here. Thanks.
In 1943 the studio's film Casablanca won theAcademy Award for Best Picture. When the award was announced, producer Hal B. Wallis got up to accept, only to find Jack Warner had rushed onstage "with a broad, flashing smile and a look of great self-satisfaction" to take the trophy, Wallis later recalled. "I couldn't believe it was happening. Casablanca had been my creation; Jack had absolutely nothing to do with it. As the audience gasped, I tried to get out of the row of seats and into the aisle, but the entire Warner family sat blocking me. I had no alternative but to sit down again, humiliated and furious. ... Almost forty years later, I still haven't recovered from the shock."[98]
Thanks @Sven I didnt know about this either. It is actually sad. I always forget that Casa won best picture. And director ( I think, Curtiz did win?
ps. I won't be checking Google. I need to exercise my memory, I becaming too lazy and keep googleing everything... at this rate I might forget that certain actor called Bogart was in it too....!
