Not really true we use these all the time for research...  The more you spend the better you get.  This one has +- http://m.bosch-professional.com/gb/en/tools/measuring-technology_1/laser-measures/glm-250-vf.html?sPath=%2FdispatchToProductInCategory.html&defaultWebtrends=true&webtrends=L%C3%A4nderauswahl&webtrends=optional+Sprachauswahl

stupid iPhone!!! It has +/- 1 mm accuracy...

    @Matt - nope

Mine is a relatively cheap one, it is accurate +/- 2mm which will suit me just fine as I mainly got it for the longer distance so 2mm isn't going to worry me. I have a 5m & 8M Stanley tape, all good if you have someone on the other end of it.

  • A very handy item to have.

  • Not sure who put together the VMPF Christmas wishes on the sidebar, but it's a nice touch Admins!!! :D

Well done Matt...and with a message too when you hover over it.
  • Gees....how did I do that?
  • I note in today's paper it is Festivus today in USA.

    Happy Festivus USA!

  • John's new ad on the sidebar teasing you Ves?

    Coming soon.....when?

  • What side bar?  You all saw nothing...NOTHING I tells you!
  • Hooray!! Today i opened up some frames where i thought they had glued the matt board to the back board and possible glueing the poster to the back board. Well they did glue the matt board to the back board but it was only on two sides and the poster was hinged..so easy to remove. RELIEF! !!!!!
  • F@*#&N post man.  Bought a daybill that was in pristine shape, only to have it folded in half by the postman to cram into the mailbox.
  • Very good, Sven! Are you re-framing them? Or just checking to see if posters were glued in?

Excellent!  Always good when something GOOD happens.

Like Mark, curious to know what prompted the opening up...Swapping out?

  • Thanks all!

Ahh shucks sorry to hear that Ves. Bugger!   It does sound like the seller did not pack properly if the post man folded it ?  ebay seller ? I had a large letter box installed, so they can easily slot through magazines and daybills (who knows some postys might still fold.. Adelaide Letter boxes do custom letter boxes, hell they might even be able to make them the width of an Italian 2P!

@ Mark and Ves. A couple of years ago I had the Plexi changed from standard to UX plex. The framer told me, not sure what the other framer has done but looks like they have glued in your poster. At the time I worried, but I thought, well they are linen backed so should be ok. Today I was lucky to get some free time and got curious so opened up the frame and checked. I closed it again but still need some framers tape to reseal. Its interesting to see how framers have different techniques. Thank god the poster was not glued!

First ride in two weeks, nice day - time was ok but was blowing a bit.

Sven: Of course I doubt it was the excesses of Christmas, do you think it was the bike?  =)

  • I need to do the same.

Come on over, we'll do a quick rip down to Carrum from my place, not Sven's pace but you may need oxygen. =)

  • Pretty easy - I have two knees and one chin. Not sure about you.
