Don't worry my wife and daughter have not voted yet.  "aces in the hole"  ;)

And yes my daughter counts, she has at least a 100+ animation and kiddie posters now... ;)
  • You've turned your child into a movie poster hoarder. You must be proud!  :D
  • If posters have long legs, nice breastesses, fangs or eye-stalks, feel free to out it to me privately. I will take care of the situation discreetly and there will never be an issue.
The rest of you scoundrels can fight it out amongst thyselves.
  • 16-8 for the good guys
  • 16-8....  thats a bit close for me, we need some more NO sayers....
  • Too many greedy bastids!  :D
  • Not greedy, just poor...

    Or you may say sensible.
    ;)

So here you are scouring a local backwater auction's inspection day and you spot in a box the last extremely rare Hitchcock in a pile of Hannahs, you slip it back into the pile, deep into the pile and wander off. A little later you spy John Reid looking at the same pile, he pauses on THAT Hitchcock and then carries on.

He leaves, and as he walks past you he winks and says: "Don't worry, I am not interested in that pile of Hannahs, besides I have that Hitchcock already - but I know a few boys in the forum who definitely be interested, I'll post and let them know..."

    You're happy with that?

    Damn right.

We are not all well endowed with cash.

I guess I'd have to battle it out then. You can't have them all..
Admit you're a greedy bugger Dave..

There's something satisfying in doing your own leg work...

And from time-to-time getting a nice PM assist from a fellow like-minded collector ;)

    I admit I am greedy.

But then again I've been beaten to the punch by people who (possibly) knew I was bidding on the item, beat me in the bidding (which is fine) but then turned round and offered it to me the moment they won it....for a fast flip.

  • Yes if the person knew you were bidding on a item and they ended up winning it then later offered it to you, this clearly would be something of spite, very wrong. Its obvious you are refering to the Pinocchio db I won on ebay last year. Before you stick your'e foot in it you should get some of you're facts right. Firstly I had no knowledge you were bidding on that poster, secondly I offered you a copy because once I won the auction the seller informed me they had another 2 copies available if I was interested and so I ended up with 3 copies. I offered you that poster because i know you like disney posters, you were actually the first person i offered it to. Furthermore when you buy a rare and popular title like that you're not going to just give it away cheaper than what you paid for it! This is evident at you're own Poster website, you're asking price for a Goldfinger and Thunderball db is a lot more higher than what you paid for them not very long ago. Now that's what I would call a fast flip..  :)>-

No, I wasn't referring to that Pinocchio, actually - I did know you did not know it was me.

And Bond clearance is nothing to do with flipping - I have decided not to collect Bond anymore - if you want to know the reason why, PM me as I won't want to embarrass you here (because my very personal reasons are not for public discussion or dissection).

    Peace out.

     B-) :)>-
  • I think I was the underbidder on that particular Pinocchio so the lesson is that you need to step your game up David ;)

I always thought I was the underbidder of that poster from NZ - so I am pretty sure I stepped up, just not up enough ;)

Ok people. I am now in the NO camp. Need to change my vote. Pronto. As it happens a poster was outed today on " the other" forum. And I have changed my mind. Nope. I wasn't affected by it. But a fellow member was. And that has made me reconsider it. :((
  • Details woman, we want details (so this can be a lesson to others)!
  • I had that poster on watch, and was going to bid last minute, so it affected two members....
  • Full disclosure please! Some of us are not members there...or don't bother visiting.

Also, where were the mods? I thought they had agreed to NOT allow outing, surely it should have been deleted instantly?
  • Sorry it has affected you too Paul. Mods can't do anything because it is allowed - ish there. This guy said that 44 bids justified the outing...though it only has 4 bidders + Paul !!! Really. If you want to out. At least get the bloody numbers right. Excuse my french. [-(
  • Uhmmmmmm. ...how do I change my vote? Can't find the poll :-?
  • edited September 2014
You cannot change your vote, as a general rule polls do not allow vote changing anyway - besides this is where we on the other side of the poll do the "told you so" song and dance routine...

  • Ohhhhh what! No changes allowed? Come on!!! It is a woman's right to change her mind! Hehehe Ps. ..no sexist jokes now thanks. Love you all. Yours etc... :-B
  • Welcome to the good side Rosa

    +1

    Indeed!

  • I'm all for getting Rosa's vote changed, surely one of you mods can do it, as she says it's a ladies prerogative.

Would we send Christians away, who had seen the light??
  • No we can't, it requires accessing the database which we don't have access to.
