  • I remember that shot from near the end.

    Peter
  •  C376
     C377
Scenes from two more films that I do hope can be easily recognised..
  • Confused by c376.  Didn't recognize it, so did an image search.  It found the image on a motorcycle adventure site.

    No reference to any film

    C376 - Purely a guess - The Motorcycle Diaries? (2004)
Correct, and a good guess it was.

The vehicle is a restored 1939 Norton 500 cc motorcycle that was originally used by Che Guevara and a friend on their epic 1951 commenced   South American road trip. This film is based on this actual trip.

A great film that I can thoroughly recommend.

  • That was an absolute fluke. I looked up motorcycle films and that came up, couldn't see the image but the landscape looked similar so thought I'd give it a shot.

    Peter
  • I believe C377 is Bad Day at Black Rock. A great, great movie, and one of the finest casts ever. And so minimalist it could be re-enacted as a stage play.

I have watched this scene dozens of times:

Yes it is indeed Bad Day At black Rock from 1955, A film that I like a lot and the scene you included here I have watched many times over as well.

I just love the impressive use of the early Cinemascope process, as seen in the following opening scene of the John Sturges directed film.

  •   C378  C379
And two more film images from very well known films that hopefully will be able to be recognised.
  • Too easy for me, I'll wait and let someone else answer.

    Peter
  • C378 Dr Strangelove

Correct. Z from 1969. This film certainly is one that deserves to be called a classic film.

  • C381 is Magic, a downright creepy film.

    Correct. Magic from 1978.

I do find ventriloquist dummies appearing in movies more disturbing than I do with creepy clowns in films.

Due to the railway setting I can certainly understand where you guess came from. Unfortunately though it isn't the correct answer.

We are looking for a film released earlier on in time.
