For anyone that has seen this hilarious film, who can forget the scene containing the following dialogue,
The vessel with the pestle has the brew that is true! Hawkins : The pellet with the poison's in the flagon with the dragon; the vessel with the pestle has the brew that is true. Griselda : Just remember that.
After stating earlier that there wasn't any connection between the recently posted three images, I have just realised there is a link between the already answered C185, and the yet to be answered C186.
My clue regarding the connection between images C185 ( The Court Jester ) and C186 ( Edward Scissorhands ) was referring to Basil Rathbone and Vincent Price, who had appeared in a number of films together over a period of many decades.
Clues for C187 are firstly a very well known film actress in her day. If you can work out her identity, then the correct answer shouldn't present too much a problem in working out the film's title. Also try and work out where she is situated? A very old film but it is a classic from the Golden Years Of Hollywood.
Yes C187 is Shanghai Express from 1932. I was thinking Jay that you were a strong possibility to solve this one. I remembered that previously on the War Movies Quiz you had correctly answered another Anna May Won film Lady From Chungking.
While you ponder what the answers may be for images C188 and C189, here are another couple of film images that hopefully will be much easier to identify.
I am really surprised that none of the posted images have yet to be identified. They are all well known and regarded films.
In two cases they are multiple Academy Award winning films. Another of the two remaining ones was a controversial film when first released, and the remaining unidentified one is now certainly regarded as being a cult film. Included among them is certainly a much loved classic film.
I am now wondering if the images are proving to be too difficult. or interest in this quiz is waning.?
Should I continue in future with supplying clues with the initial image presentations, and perhaps add more well known actors images in the presented scenes?
I LOVE this topic! I just am drawing a complete blank on these. I often do better with your clues.

Good guess as it does look like Jennifer Jones, but it isn't her or that film.
Clues then are the male pictured in the scene is the best friend of the film's main character. The film in question was a winner of multiple Academy Awards.
Mercedes McCambridge played a small uncredited role as a gang leader in the film. She was earlier in her career a member of Orson Welles' Mercury Theatre.
A winner of a Best Supporting Actress Oscar for her performance in All The King's Men ( 1949 ). which was her film debut. Memorable in Johnny Guitar ( 1954 ) playing in some great scenes with Joan Crawford's character. She was also the voice of the Demon child that was used in The Exorcist in 1973.
Final clue for C191 is from villain to hero with this film..
I will include some additional information regarding the lead actor's previous on screen villain's career.. Frank Sinatra and Spencer Tracy played against him appearing in a couple of memorable scenes.
191 is Marty. I immediately recognized the man in the image, but couldn't place him. Your clue told me he was the guy who played Angie in Marty. Did he ever do anything else memorable?

Correct. Marty from 1955. The film won four academy awards for Best Motion Picture, Best Director, Best Actor ( Ernest Borgnine ) and Best Adapted screenplay. Joe Mantel who played Angie was also nominated for Best Supporting Actor, bur lost to Jack Lemmon in Mister Robert. Joe Mantell was a solid performing actor who was relegated throughout his film career to acting in smaller supporting roles.
