So I guess 361 is The Wooden Horse?

If so, that is especially sad, because I both read the book and saw the movie (on TV) as a young teen, and thoroughly enjoyed both.

Yes Bruce it is indeed The Wooden Horse ( 1950 ), and I am very pleased you got there in the end.

The problem with this one is that just about every available image would have been too obvious and immediately have been identified, and I really like the images I use to be a challenge.

I saw the film on television when I was much younger, but I don't remember too many details about it now. Probably overdue to view it again if I can track it down..
  • 366 Colditz Story
  • 366 Colditz Story
Correct, and yes it is The Colditz Story ( 1955 ).

For 363 a major clue in finding an answer for this one is available in a number.

And finally for 364 a clue is high office.
It certainly would appear that the above two image titles have eluded everyone.

I will refrain from supplying the answers for the two above images for a little while longer. This is just in case anyone may still be able to work out the answer or answers for the above films.

  • As my clues didn't work I will now reveal the answers to the remaining two unanswered images.

      363

    Three Came Home ( 1950 )

      364

    Prisoner Of War ( 1954 )

  •  367
     368
     369

Three more images of well known World War 11 films to have a think about.
  • 369 - Guadalcanal Diary (1943)

Correct. The well known faces of Richard Jaeckel, Preston Foster and Lloyd Nolan appearing in the posted image.

  • 367 clue is the film recreates the true story of a major World War 11 operation.

368 clue is that the pictured actor actually fought in World War 11.
  •  Final clue for the remaining two unanswered images.

     367
     368

  • I really had thought that the above two images would have resulted in receiving some quick correct answers, but one isn't always right with one's thinking. The two films in question are very well known films so I will leave them a little longer in the hope that they may be answered. Danke.
  • 367 is The Dam Busters. I knew nothing about the movie until I read about it when I had a poster on it to auction.  It is a fascinating little known story that I was not taught about in school.

Correct. Not American history so this story would be little known in the U.S.A. The film was released in 1955.

  •   ( Both 368  )

    Anyone?
  • Never heard of it...but apparently its the One that Got Away.

  • Never heard of it...but apparently its the One that Got Away.
Correct Ves and great to see you didn't give up on finding the answer. 368 is The One That Got Away, the British Rank film from  1957. I had a final clue of national park ready to go that I had thought may have assisted in one finding the answer.

The following link provides some information regarding details behind the history of the story depicted in the film

    370  371

Two more images to have a think about.
  • 370 Is Paris Burning? (1966)

Correct and well spotted. In the below image I like the added touch of a  small dent in the German soldiers's helmet in the foreground. Far left of the image the Orson Welles character is seen.

  •

For the unanswered 371 an additional image to hopefully assist you.

     372

Another image from a world war 11 set film.

  •

For the yet unanswered 371 a third and final image that features two of the stars of the film. I am hoping these two actors images should be enough to enable someone to identify the name of the film.

For 372 an additional second image that may or may not assist in working out the name of the film..

  • O.k.then definitely the two last clues for the remaining unanswered two images.

For 371 is look for two Bills.

For 372 the cast of this film features a well known real life singer and also a comedian.

    371 Submarine Command (I cheated)
372 I know but I cheated as well, so will hold off to see if someone else gets the answer.
  • 371 Submarine Command (I cheated)
372 I know but I cheated as well, so will hold off to see if someone else gets the answer.
    371 is of course Submarine Command ( 1951 ).

My  earlier clue of  two Bills referred to William Holden and William Bendix, who are seen above.

To Ves, I don't call it cheating, but only researching.

For 372 let's wait then to see if anyone else can come up with the correct answer. If this doesn't happen I will rely then on Ves to provide the answer at a later date.
  • I've been trying to restrict myself to 9nly one per group, but
    372 is He'll is for Heroes (1962)
    Bobby Darrin and Bob Newhart.

Yes correct, and well done for also naming the singer and the comedian that I had mentioned in my earlier clue.

  •  373
     374

Hopefully there are a good number of familiar faces here that can be recognized.
  • 171 is Fixed Bayonets (1951)

James Dean appeared in a small  uncredited role in Fixed Bayonets.
