Charlie’s Memory Lane - Cataloguing My Posters

I am trying to grab images of posters to put into a database on a collector service call Art Archive. You basically have a private web-based database. Anyways, thought I would share as I go.

  • Love that Japanese Kwai....and the pool table too.😉

  • Wonder Woman is HUGE!

  • Swapped some of my posters out… Snapped some photos…

  • I WANT THAT ANT MAN SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO BAD!
  • Nice. I'm digging the Thais most of all---especially DEATH SHIP.
  • I love digging out old buys… found this puppy today:

It’s from an illustration by Berni Wrightson of Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein.

  • I Like it. Berni Wrightson certainly went into producing some detail above and beyond the norm.
  • From my experience talking with him over the years, Bernie Wrightson seemed like a decent, good guy as well. What a talent he had. Rest in peace, Bernie.  Okie
  • I have one of those too, beautiful print and I love that it's signed by Bernie. I think all his work for Frankenstein is amazing.

    The original sold for $1.2m - http://www.horrornewsnetwork.net/bernie-wrightsons-frankenstein-illustration-sells-for-1-2-million-at-profiles-in-history-auction/

  • I n 1972 I published Wrightson's Badtime Stories, his homage to EC Comics. He was paid $100 a page and allowed to keep the art.

I hope he or his family held it for a long time, and cashed in big time on it.
