I decided to let the website go - trying to trim back expenses. So, the link above doesn't work any longer. Mods can delete this thread if they wish, or leave it. It doesn't matter.
I've heard it said that sooner or later, collectors become dealers after a fashion, and I've hit that wall. Also, though, it was my own dumb self. I bought way more than my budget would permit, so I ended up in financial trouble. "Collecting" became "hoarding", and when I realized that, it really shocked the socks off me.
I'm in the process of liquidating it all, except for what I really like. It's becoming a true collection, rather than a pile of tubes that I'm always tripping over, and which I'm having to store in every available free space in my house. That's an exaggeration, but it's not too much so.
I have sent off roughly 3000 posters for sale. I have kept less than 10% of that number (273 I think) of the ones that really mean something to me (mostly Japanese B1's, and mostly for anime as it turns out). And even so, I still have 25 tubes of larger posters and another 10 flat file drawers stuffed with other things.
I still get a few, though ;-) I just got a tube of Japanese posters from my Tokyo friend. But it really has to blow me out of the water to get it.
For instance, if I could find that Eva Green poster for the new Sin City. I would spend a few bucks on that to be sure....
I am thinking of slimming down my collection, hard. I've got stuff that will never see the light of day let alone the wall, I need to work out a way of displaying more but ensuring that it doesn't end up looking like a single lawyer's apartment )
Too bad I can't send a truck to Australia. I could get you skinny in a hurry!

That's because I'm also lecherous. :-)

The uncensored version supposedly was never printed, but the less risque version is on the eBay already...
