  • I saw that and said to myself, Swedish?.... but anything goes....
  • You must have REALLY wanted it Matt  ;)

Matt is the poster your cup of tea? Artwork great but i find the swedish title distracting. My name is enough swedish distraction in my poster collection

    Oh! Anyone we know?
  • @Sven Too much red in the poster.

@Ves Author, drummer and home automation and sound specialist

     Clint Eastwood Icon
  • You know how you read that we are all getting addicted to the little “dings” your phone makes because you get excited about what it might be.  I am thinking that the false positives I get every morning when Bruce is sharing his latest auctions is hurting my EMP game.  Not that it is a negative...

That or my wife knows who Bruce Hershenson is, so I am afraid to get a package without having to answer a bunch of questions.

That or people like this guy whom bought the Swedish poster - clearly a WTF. Like that guy who got my black swan and ruined collecting for me.

    One of those three...

Just point at him and I'll send my homies to pay him a visit

  • Batman daybill sold again for way too much. $480. What was worse was watching two bidders drag it out another 40mins with 10 buck increments.
  • A fun battle on the Hot Spot (aka I Wake Up Screaming) Aussie one sheet tonight!

Congrats David! (yes I am assuming...)

  • Pretty safe assumption.

...and it is still going.  Knew I should have made some popcorn
  •  Indeed! Nice price!
  • The Star Wars seven sheet - $24,000 for poster from 1977...

  • Hello,

Would that be the highest price ever paid for a SW poster?

    Best,
    dario.
  • As far as I can tell - the seven sheet that just sold...  There are concept art examples that have sold higher but no paper ones that I see.
  • World record by eMovieposter.com ( I certainly never seen a SW poster go higher than that )

    Pretty darn good!

    Congrats Bruce!

    Cheers,
    dario.
  • This Empire Strikes Back poster did pretty well, although not sure how the Buyer's Premium comes into play when calculating which is the 'world record'?

That 7-sheet is great, congrats to Bruce, the buyer and the consigner!

  • Congrats to Bruce, an enormous price indeed.
I wasn't really paying attention to that 7 sheet, but I did notice a really great price on that argentinean ASSASSIN OF YOUTH ($851!)

  • Thanks much guys! We did have a ton of great results, and unlike many auctions, you won't be seeing these items come back again and again, because all really sold.

You are paying for the knife and saw on that rear window  :#
  • I'm just glad no one was after the "Fever" daybill. Thanks chaps!
  • Apparently substance abuse is a much larger problem than we thought. Those 2 are definitely WTF? :open_mouth:
  • Yeah, crazy!

the Rear Window bidding was 10 bids by two people over just under 20 mins; so two people really wanted it. I was surprised to. Not much too look at, but someone liked it....

I have no knowledge of the Mask of Dusk poster so really can't speak of it's past value, but doesn't look like much, for a daybill that is....
  • Maybe there’s a completist out there that collects MPs for car racing movies. The US poster for A Race For Life shows a completely different kind of vehicle. So much for continuity.
  • That Rear Window/Paramount stock poster was my consignment...and I'm one happy seller. Heat (Fever) was also mine and I thought it would get more than the stock poster with its dodgy added art. I have a keeper copy of that one with less added art, and it's pretty cool.
  • Congrats Rick!!!
