Exceptionally rare printers-proof Australian 1S for 2007's "Death Defying Acts" in my apt!
Info from designer Jeremy Saunders via email: "Well they actually did print them and distribute a modified version of this print. But as they were put up in the cinemas the word came back from [Zeta-Jones'] people that the posters were unapproved (a bit late) and they were not to be printed. I suspect that in any other situation the distributors would have simply ignored it but she was in the country doing PR the next day so they were all hurriedly ripped off the walls."
I owned these two WFRRs from 2010-15 and rebought both in the last year, finally today rejoined on wall (high up - but no tipping apt staff(haha)).
They are printed on heavy HQ gold mylar and "glitter" in the right light. On left is the "rejected" red dress Style E (samples improperly leaked/sold to public); on right is pink Style D.
Well been very inactive in everything MP-related since end of Jan for several reasons, but I did FINALLY put these RIDICULOUSLY expensive MPs in the "right" place where I can view them frequently i.e. in front of my computer:
Very nice. I was hoping that the whole Kevin Spacey thing would lower the market on these---but it does not seem to have affected it much. Drat my luck---but groovy for you.
Nice stuff. I love the UNDER THE SKIN poster, but didn't like the movie. Is that JAWS 2 one of the newer mondo poster things? COOL design. Of course, SHAPE OF WATER is an instant classic.
Uh, I think you have a problem Mel. It's not a race to accumulate all the posters in the world. Have you met Rick here on our forum? Perhaps you two could start a group
