Thanks to you David for posting a NZ version of FP. Now, when you have a chance, can you please compare the overall colour scheme on yours vs. and Australian release example and post your opinion

I was being serious (for once) and I asked politely. Do I need to ask using some Aussie slang?
I wasn't being rude in my response...I need to use a winky face more often me thinks. There is no difference other than the NZ stamp, it was printed in Sydney and it seems that the Oz censor stamp was blocked but one can still see the remnants of the print. Technically I suppose as the print was there I could get that part restored, remove the NZ stamp and call it an Australian daybill...
Thanks David. Now if you look a bit closer at the reds, yellows, blues and greys does the NZ version appear to be slightly "lighter" in colour? Do the colours seem to be less saturated vs. and Aussie version? Do the reds on the spaceship shaped building seem be closer to pink and Robbie closer to a yellow colour overall?
Just wanting your opinion as this NZ version you've purchased is only the 2nd example I have ever seen. To my eyes even your copy seems to have colours that are less saturated, more yellow, less red than the Aussie version...
To be honest I wonder if it's more about the camera and lighting than anything else (each is surely different). I don't have another version to compare and I believe Reg has a NZ one too, Matt - send me yours I will make a side by side comparison.
I would imagine the print run was done for the Aussie Daybill and then the Aus censor stamp was taped off and they carried on (I imagine that is why you can see the remnants of the censor stamp - the stamp on the block is still there). They surely would have done the run on the same day or in the same run, so the inks would have been the same batch, at worst there may be some pigment variations due to changing/topping up of the ink.

Best opinion I cna offer at this stage.
Regardless, I appreciate the response David. Obviously perceived differences could be because of the camera work but I have looked at a lot of examples (unfortunately not all "face to face") and to me the Aussie version seems to have darker, more saturated colouring whereas the NZ is more yellow overall.

Again, I am not so sure. Someone send me an Aussie version and I will take a picture of them both side by side with the same camera under the same lighting etc etc, that's the only 100% answer.
Technically I haven't got it in my hands but my personal courier has advised it is now in his; so I do want to thank Matt for going out of his way to pick it up for me today, and then taking a picture of it...quite excited to see this one hit the wall.
My research indicates this is a R49 re-release, the first re-release after the original release.
Just a humble shop occupying a wee corner on the internet trying to eke out a subsistence to get me by in the hobby...
I wouldn't have said he looks feminine myself, but as all the R48/49 daybills look the same my choices are probably limited, although it certainly doesn't compare when looking at the original
