Aussie Paper going up or down in value?
Thought this topic would be a good idea! Anyways lets start with some Australian posters that were auctioned many years ago and see what they fetched. We can add comments together about current value based on auction results etc.
Lets start with this one aye

THUNDERBALL Aust db '65 Connery as Bond Date Sold 5/6/2003 Sold For: $255.00
Two of these posters have come up for auction recently. The one on emovie went for over 1k and the other on ebay for $700+
So in over 10 years the price of this poster has gone up a fair bit in price.
It's a very interesting topic/question you pose Reggie. I do think certain titles will hold and grow but others less so, Bond was hot this past year or so, perhaps 50 year anniversary perhaps new films are capturing a new audience. Overall I think Bond will hold over time but I think there will be some market correction with others titles.
Another question to pose, sort of the opposite, what the posters that have sold today or in the last few years (based on their average sell price) will go down in price in the next few years?
I am starting to wonder if paper for MM will continue to hold a high dollar, the reality is most of her movies were just OK, sure they are wonderful to an older generation but to the new lot coming through the question is: will they fall in love with her like we and our parents generation did/have?
Gentlemen Prefer Blondes Daybills are slowly becoming cheaper, Some Like it Hot are not increasing in price noticeably...
Do some of you older collectors sometimes kick urselfs in the head for not getting posters that were cheap many years ago and that are very expensive now?
Would love too hear some stories..

And of course there are those outlier results that do not follow any trend.
The point is that some posters have come down in "value" over time...
Of course the other side of it is that a lot of Aussie paper has been getting record results in the last couple years (and draining my wallet at the same time!)
