On the daybill where this image originated from in the main actors credits list there is an odd billing showing in fifth place order as '' and the City Of ............?............ ''. This being the city where the film was shot.
Image # 15. For such a well known film that the daybill is easily available to purchase and I am sure a lot of members have a copy of it as it is a very well known title from a famous director.
Image # 15 is from Alfred Hitchcock's Torn Curtain from 1966. As with I Confess another Hitchcock film posted earlier on the film noir quiz I am wondering why people struggle to identify scenes from such well known Hitchcock films ? I am sure a lot of members have this poster. I am also wondering how well do we know our posters. The failure to identify First Blood on a quiz recently, even with clues, is a perfect example of no one recognising a scene from a well known film. Before anyone steps in I know this film is not a Hitchcock film. I have the poster and I am sure a lot of other people do to along with Torn Curtain. This is purely an observation on my part and not criticism in any shape or form. Your thoughts on how well do we know our posters would be appreciated ?
Well done, The actor is Joseph Cotten and The Man With A Cloak was a 1951 release. I have seen the film and it is an interesting entertaining but little known film.
Correct. # 18 is Pacific heights from 1990. After seeing the film in a cinema when it was first released my wife didn't want to see another Michael Keaton film for many years after that.
Obviously not the song by The Smashing Pumpkins, a mighty fine song from a most excellent album. Probably not about Margaret Thatcher becoming the new prime minister. The uniform suggest Russia, so perhaps their invasion of Afghanistan?
