In retrospect I think both auctioneers did a pretty good job. It wouldn't be easy auctioning off a bunch of classic posters like that in front of an audience of god knows how many. Sure, we can sit back knowing what we know approximately what they'd go for but they can't experts in everything they auction off....and we comment on those that are.....a little off target. Supply and demand....huh....it's like a grand final. Who's the best wins on the day.
I enjoyed it and kudos to them who tried to squeeze every dollar for their consignors.

Nicely said Matt and i enjoyed it as you did, especially with the members on this forum. Till the next!!
This one, $836.50, estimate $300-$600, I liked it, my wife didn't, so we didn't - she's a wise person.
A couple I was following came in well under estimates. This, the estimate was $10K - $20K, came in just shy of $9K
This, the estimate $2.5K - $5K, came in at $1.5K
This one I liked too, but my wife didn't, estimate was $600 - $1200, realised a touch over $400 hmmm
A few others were on the money, this was estimated $4K - $8K, came in at $5.2K. Still, it's a collecting standard and has a long history whereas the others are unusual not often seen
All in all, seems like Daybills were the winner most doing very well to the estimates.
I sold Seven Year Itch and Outlaw daybills a few months ago for about half the prices that Heritage achieved. Just goes to show that these major auctions can get some excellent results for consignors.
Congratulations to Heritage on another great auction.
I thought 7k for the vertigo one sheet was a little on the high side given the condition of very good Re "The orange color has been enhanced. Very Good+ on Linen." Does this mean that the orange was airbrushed orange or there is another technique to enhance color?

I'm talking about the terrible adlibbing by the auctioneer
Yes there was a comment about odd job and his hat that i am am still trying to work out!!
Dreadful adlibbing. She would be better off just announcing the bids and not commenting at all.
$4800 US + BP
Final price just under the $1K
This sold today for $1,314.50, but there's another up next week in their standard auction - bet next week goes considerably cheaper.
This week VS next week
