We The People

Anyway, spent a day out and about with Matt yesterday (Sunday), picked him up at his place and he showed me a few of his favourite things. The first thing I noticed when I came in the door at his place was Green Mansions (1959) AU1SH - geeze it's nice in person, as is Funny Face, as was FP AU1SH - and I didn't know he had so many Bond 1SHs.
I have to say I had a few "well, hello" moments as I was flicking through his posters.
Anyway, we hit the streets, swung by a couple of antique shops (I bought a poster) and then headed down to TYABB (@Pancho - worth the visit) there's a shizzer load of posters, well laid out store but they are not priced for the collector. Matt tells me that on the odd occasion he spots a bargain but as I said, not for the collector more for the present giver or decorator, because who could live off the income of the Movie Poster Collector (Latin: notorus-tightuss).
So TYABB is definitely worth the visit, the burger and chips for lunch down there is a decent feed too.
So thanks to Matt for a top day out, I am sure we will do it again, besides it was a great chance to meet the guy who for the last 4 or 5 years has been poking fun at me (and me at him) - and we also had plenty of time to chat as we drove around, it was good to take the piss out of Canadians, Texans and Argentinians too - mainly because they are a long way a way and can't hurt us.

Yeah sure Dave.....eyeroll.
When I pointed out the Disney section, it was like watching a bulldozer plough through a forest of people. Lucky I had first aid training.
It was a great day. Lots of laughs and stories told. Next time we'll organise a group session....chicks included.
For starters, where would she have fitted?
Oh and just in case you don't know...YES I AM JOKING...
I understand that boys need their alone time...especially poster boys
Beats a mouthful of insects!
That said - male to male marriage is all the rage here in Canada - just bring your daybills and drop them off here first and I will find a nice venue for you GUYS
There were plenty of geeks at the AMC expo in Melbourne. Four of which were from this forum. (including me )
