That's one reason why our local Milk Bar does a roaring trade.

    It's a Dairy.

  •   Milk Bar.
  • Milk?...waiting for our table at an Italian restaurant. Peroni on tap. Yummy! =)

  • What the hell is a milk bar?

    This?

  • B) Hmmmm....nice pic Mark....barstedo, but it's ok Saturday night and pizza in the oven and beer in my hand.

Nice!! Here in oz our beer sizes are typically a pot, schooner or pint. What sizes can you order in US?
  • Ah perfect saturday matt! Now what movie to wash the beer down with?
  • Usually a movie I've watched ten times over...don't ask. LOL.

It really depends on the bar.  I've been i pubs that serve like you said.  Some go by ounces... Most common are pints, hour glass 20 oz, tall mugs 24 oz, and pitchers...
  • Exactly Charlie, Peroni on tap is a good way to end the week. Refreshing! As for pizza & suds at home, with a film, recipe for unwinding! :plus_one:
  • So my older daughter is at that age where she can finally sit through a whole movie.

So I thought, great, can introduce her to Toy Story tomorrow.

Go to my shelves to get it, hmmm...not there...have a look around, not anywhere.

Then have vague recollection that I lent it to my sister ages ago, and she never returned.

Call said sister..."hmm, don't think so, let me go see...no, nothing here.."

Hang up phone and swear as I can't believe I've lost it...annoyed because it was a nice special edition bought way back in the day.

A couple hours later, phone rings...said sister.

"Umm, guess what...I think I have it but..." LONG PAUSE"

I say, "what did you do?"

"I only have the discs, I threw out all the packaging...I needed shelf space so threw out all the packaging for all my discs...only have the discs themselves...I DIDN'T KNOW IT WAS YOURS"

Insert lots of swearing...not impressed with said sister.

Re-affirms my stance that I should never lend out anything.  Add DVD to list of things people can't borrow...

    Rant over...

  • Wait until your little one gets old enough to put the disc in themselves.  You'll never not have a stack of discs without boxes and a stack of boxes without discs... The funny thing will be that they will be side-by-side and none go together... The funniest story I have is finding one of the blu-ray covers in the glove compartment of my wife's car.  How did it get there???
  • Be thankful it's the dvd era, you want to try and get a Jam Sandwich out of a VCR...

I have two kids...great example of young minds working out a problem!  =)

  • Oh believe me I've had plenty of WTF moments with the girls to date, and I anticipate plenty of grey hair moments to come...but not from sister...I mean for goodness sake lady!  The covers protect the dvd's if nothing else!
  • I learned many many years ago, not to trust my Brother with anything of mine....Just a tip. ;)
  • Good advice.

    No wait, I don't have a brother.
  • Yup, have a brother and that's a good tip.

Loaned him my car, a 1967 Falcon for two days. He broke the horn off the steering wheel. I mean how the fuck do you do that?

  •   Started at the new construction site today close to home. Glad I got that first ride on my bike out of the way. Had to lug my tool bag with my backpack in 6ºC.

Had thermals on but no lycra. Did you hear that Dave...... NO LYCRA!

Welcome to a brave new world...you need these for that sort of temperature!

  • lol. I'll just stick to the thermals right now but thanks for the advice.
  • What?!! With "highly technical fabrics....and striking graphics" who wouldn't done those for a quick spin to a construction site!  =)

There are no fold lines in lycra, pretty sure you would like them.
  • So I am guessing there was no shaving of the legs?
  • Ok I have said it before but I just want to reiterate that 6ºC is still firmly within "I can wear shorts" weather in these parts
