  • Double Ditto...
  • What a great day... Drove to College Station and back - I actually got some work done there with my two PhD students.  Got my Hard Day's Night poster in the mail and already managed to get it free of the dry mount.  Played 2 holes of golf with my daughter (she then proceeded to fall out of the cart while it was sitting still - took her home, she's fine), went back and played 9 holes of golf, had two nice draft beers while watching my tennis buddies play a couple sets, paperbacked a 1/2 sheet with a new wheat paste prep method, and my wife stayed up with me while I did it.  I am a damn lucky guy....
  • Oh that sounds loverly...
  • Er...except the daughter falling out of the cart bit...
  • Way to Carpe the Diem, Charlie! :rock_on: same schedule tomorrow?  ;)=)
  • same schedule tomorrow?  ;)=)

Well if the paperback turn out well - on to Matt's posters... (after I play golf of course ;)) I had some wheat paste that was pushing a year on the shelf - got some fresh powder yesterday.  Technically it is suppose to be good since I stored in it a cool dark place.  But better safe than sorry...
  • Cool dark meaning NOT in a fridge I take it and an air tight container?

In a fridge mine usually good for 7-10, then begins to harden. I've left it out exposed to the air & it starts to lose strength & develop mold by day 5/6.
  • Not paste... The uncooked powder.
  • Meaning I had a 5lb bag (about 2lbs left that sat on a shelf)...  Everything I read says it should be good to go.  But I just wanted to be safe - it's relatively cheap so why not.
  • Goddammit, half of my last biscuit fell in my piping hot coffee during the dunk phase.
  • I hate that... Then when you get to the bottom and forget it fell in - WTF is that!?!?!?  Oh yeah - stupid cookie.
  • hahahaha - yup.

Ohhh....ok. I was thinking, what is he doing with paste in a jar for over a year?! :pensive: ....I'm still working my way through my first 10lb bag from Talas.

    rofl

Cracked me up...I hate that too!...especially when it causing coffee spillage.  Mmmmm....coffee
  • Hate it when you start the day with a hangover, all you want to do is drink copious amounts coffee and you run out of milk...
  • That's one reason why our local Milk Bar does a roaring trade. If you run out one little thing you don't want to get in your car and drive 5 minutes to the supermarket when you can walk there in one or two minutes.
