Paul's posters
I wasn't going to do a section like this, as my goal for the year is to have my own website up and running (seems all the rage at the moment)

Anyhoo, as I can't fix my car ( need a 2 post lift..) I'll post a couple of my favourite Quads from my collection.
These may not be what people were thinking, but..
This I bought back in the late 70's, I could only get the fellow down to £12, the most expensive poster I'd bought to that point. I paid it as it looked great, it was on my bedroom wall for years after, just to make sure I got my moneys worth..
The film is always slated for it's bad SFX, the poor Kong suit, pinching music from the Creature from the Black Lagoon, etc; But it's great entertainment all the way, especially for a kid of 9 when I first watched it, I still watch it once a year, and it looks fantastic on my big screen, great colours too.

I maybe should have taken these out of the sleeves to photograph..
This next one as with most posters needs to be seen close up in the flesh, it's awesome. As a Kid I was a big fan of Dr Who, I don't remember William Hartnell much, I started with Patrick Troughton, but the Darleks were must watch which ever Doctor.
I guess I saw this film on a re-relase around 68-70, the impact of seeing Dr Who and the Daleks in colour made quite the impression.

This next one, one of my favourite Sci-fi films was on my wants list for Years. I never thought I'd ever own one, as even in the early years it was quite expensive for a working class lad from North Yorkshire, just shows never say never. Although a technically Text only, it again needs to be seen in person.

This next one I chased for years to find a reasonable copy, they never turn up, and when they do they are horrendous prices for a knackered one. Only found this about two years back I think...
One of the best Hammer films ever made, and Cushing is a treat....as always.

Doing a top 5 was difficult, but I'll have to include a Harryhausen. This Quad is hardly ever seen, so maybe a first for the forum as I've not seen this Quad anywhere else on the web, and it's the first time I've posted mine. I prefer the Beast from 20'000 as a film, but this poster is very atmospheric and captures the film to a tee.
As a bonus poster, thought I would post this Chantrell, it's always the underdog, never as popular or as pricey as some of his other sexy stuff, but picking this up in the early 80's set me off buying other so called Sexploitation posters. Even 5/6 years back they were cheap, but in recent times prices have risen, with this one lagging behind.
I like that they are from a period in British Cinema history, never to return..
