  • Good score Matt. Wife watched the movie for the first time the other day, she liked it.
  • Looks to be a clean copy. Well done Matt.
  • Thanks guys, there's a small separation in the top cross fold, other than that, yeah it's pretty clean.
  • Great poster Matt!!!! I have been meaning to check out the film. Haven't watched it yet. :)>-
  • Thanks Rosa. A great film that has a few unexpected twists in it.
  • Nice Matt!
  • After I pulled out all the long daybills for the marchant thread, thought I would happy snap what hasn't been photographed yet.

Two that I am loving right now...

  • :-O

    Nice Ves!
  • Nice WED, Matt! It's on my list get one as well. I like how they placed the photograph images at the top, rather than the bottom-think it gives the poster a stronger look!
  • And great looking DB's Ves! Artwork is wonderful! What years are they? Late 20s? Early 30s?
  • First rate Matt, it gets no better than WED..

Really like that Ringer Daybill, reminds me of Yvonne after a Vat of Red....
    ;)

A couple of posters just added to the collection that I quite like.

    Hearts Divided (1936)

I love this one, I have not been able to find any movie poster of any type on this film anywhere - I certainly suspect it is the only surviving AU1SH around, and possibly the only poster on the film at all.

    White Lies (1935)

  • White Lies-amazing poster! Great colors & artwork! Is it linenbacked? Condition looks first rate!
  • They do look great David!

Is the White Lies a restored copy of the following image I found on the net or another copy?

Don't know - I'd need to see that one close up or know where it is/was now.
  • Ah - huh, so that is who outbid me on the Divided Hearts!

    I can't be too angry though ;)

    Beautiful paper...congratulations!

  • Nice David!

Thank-you, if I had known it was you I would have rung you up and asked you to stop!
  • Someone else took over, so I can't take all the blame.

And that fricken Human Bondage daybill STILL eludes me...ARGH!  Too much paper, not enough money!

All I can tell you is the image of White Lies, as far as my recording of details goes, is somehow connected with Arsim who is / was a member of Movieposterforum.com. Sorry David that is all the information I have. It would be interesting for you to know if it is the same poster.

Can't add anymore then I am afraid; so as far as my dinner conversations go, I officially own the ONLY White Lies movie poster in existence, the last known copies were were destroyed by rare litho-bugs that have since been eradicated...

    :D

Arsim runs posterguide.org - he doesn't list where the poster (images) come from nor does he say if the poster(s) still exist
  • He's credited some of mine...apparently some incorrectly too...but it would be hard to keep track with so many.

I know how you could swap that around somewhat....
    ;)
  • Just when I said I wasn't going to buy anything else this month.  And then I have a good one coming from France but I'll wait.
