Months at sea can change a man....for the sake of the forum don't change Matt...but that sure beats 9 to 5 in the office Matt!
I wish my 9 to 5 job was a poster restorer but not an ounce of artistic skill in my bones.
That ship of Matt's never leaves the harbour and the day it does Matt won't be on it, so I think we're safe Matt will remain the same annoying twot he always is..
Certainly a job I'll never forget. It's starting to shape inside with rooms and compartments getting fitted out. The technology is amazing, the size is enormous yet it's two thirds the size of a Nimitz class aircraft carrier. You can appreciate why it costs 1.5 billion to build.
Unfortunately I probably won't get the gig to go on sea trials for two weeks in April/May...so I'll still be a twot...just to annoy Dave. hehehe!
Hell yeah but I work for a company that sub contracts to BAE systems, who is the ship builder...even though our standard of workmanship (fibre optics wise) kicks their butt and they know that now and are somewhat embarrassed (in a nutshell)
Cut a long story short they have people on a short term contract who want to string out the job vs fulltime employees in our company.
