    C316 is easy.
Is c317 Lord of the Rings?
I agree with you about C316, but I had thought that C315 was even easier.

C317 isn't Lord Of The Rings. I had this one down as being the more difficult image to identify. On saying that though the film in question is extremely well known.

Correct. Shane from 1953.  The below scene once viewed remains in one's memory.

  • A clue for the yet unanswered C317 is that the tranquility of the above country side isn't what it may look like on first viewing.

  • C317 - Platoon? (1986)
You got the war part correct, but you will need to go back many decades to find the correct answer.

Correct. It is indeed them, and if memory serves me right at the Hole- in- the- wall hideout..

  • A final visual clue for C317.
  • C317 - Originally I was thinking Glory (1989), but nothing visually looked similar, so how about Gettysburg (1993)?

Yes it is a scene from the American Civil war, but it isn't either of the two films that you have mentioned.

The film you are looking for, although set during the Civil war, has only a very small amount of footage of the two armies in combat.
  • A final clue for C317 is that the film in question has wonderful soundtrack music.
  • Lincoln (2012)?

    Peter
  • Lincoln (2012)?
Another good guess, but it isn't that one either. James Bond is definitely my final clue.
  • The C317 image clues I had really thought would have been enough to provide the answer for the film in question.

Alas this wasn't to be the case, so I will now reveal the answer to be Dances With Wolves from 1990.

  •  C318  C319
O.k, then, let's now see how we fare with these two images?

One of the above two films most likely is not that well remembered today, while the other one has gained cult status over the years/.
  • 319 - Planes, Trains and Automobiles
  • Just beat me to it.

    Peter
  • Is C318 The Glass Menagerie (1950). That image has been familiar to me for years.

Unlucky. Missed out by less than a minute.

  • 320.  Rambo First Blood.  I can't understand a word he says in this movie but hubby loves it and watches it every time it's on the telly
Correct. First Blood from 1982. It would appear that you have watched it yourself Ves, at least once anyway.

Sylvester Stallone of course went on to make four more Rambo films.

This clue will hopefully assist now in working out the answer for C321.
  • I knew First Blood but couldn't place it.
