Hypothetical Collection Reduction Advice
So I would like opinions/methods/thoughts on the following:
Let's say you had a 2019 goal to reduce your 3,000 to 5,000 poster (because you stopped counting 3 years ago) collection by half. What would be your plan to accomplish this?

Best,

Last idea-I’m familiar with 1930s paper-so i could handle that decade for you....
Then send the no pile to Bruce.
Take the crtical mass first e.g. anything to do with Elizabeth Taylor, Audrey Hepburn. Are you happy to keep all formats and sizes? If not prioritize. You can do this based on what matt or pancho. Do you want to keep just your favorites and dont care of size and country of origin or do you want hard and fast rules eg. Only one sheets and lobbys. Dont beat yourself up if you want to keep a few of your favourite stills.
Once your sort the critical mass you will identify certain patterns of what you like and dont like which helps to sort through the non critical mass.
If you do the above and have the time, put the bottom 10% on eBay at fixed prices. That's likely the only way to yield very much from it. That's the one downside to selling from the bottom up. All too often, one man's unwanted stuff is everyone's unwanted stuff.
