John Held Jr
I've never come across any of John Held Jr artwork until reading this article and checked out some sales on HA.
Quite ahead for it's time, quite like the artwork!

Has anyone seen a daybill with his artwork from the below movies?
Would we expect, similar to US paper, the John Held signature to be on the daybill or would it be a local artist ?
Battling Butler (1926)
The Boy Friend (1926)
Money Talks (1926)
Tin Hats (1926)
So This Is College (1929)
The Girl Said No (1930)

Bruce you also have the following images in your archives for films that have been credited by other sources as the artist being John Heard Jr as well.
The Boy Friend ( 1926 ) ( U.S. campaign book )
The Girl Said No ( 1930 ) ( Swedish poster )
Stepping Out ( 1931 ) ( French Grande )
I am not saying they are his work but the artwork looks similar and in the same style so I am wondering if you would share your thoughts with us ?
On The Boy Friend, I would say definitely yes, and I will get that added.
On Stepping Out, that is one of those where it is possible it is Held art, but just as possible it is a French artist imitating Held.
