I posted a photo of this poster on Facebook and no one seems to have seen this Advance Aust one sheet before. Just curious if anyone here has had seen it come up for sale anywhere?
The reason for that would be that is probably pre classification, advance.
It is 27" x 40" and (I think) corresponds with the similar alternate style daybill. Paper is consistent with Australian paper and it came from a collection of Vic Forsythe's posters.
Vic Forsythe worked for the distributors in Qld for 30 years. He used to salt away posters from every movie, sometimes multiples. When he passed away about five years his collection came up for sale. I would say that it must be by far the largest collection of movie posters ever seen for sale in Australia and probably the largest collection in Australia in its own right. It was sold off in lots to "selected" people. Many people didn't hear about it until it was too late. Most of the good Universal Horror posters came from him too.
Could have been a sample poster printed for evaluation purposes?
I have a collection of all rolled Aust SW 1sheet posters including Style A&C, ESB & Jedi A&B. Some came direct from the warehouse manager for Fox / Columbia here in NSW.

Never seen that one.
Is it 27 x 40 & what is identifying it as Aussie?
The regular ESB one sheet had no printer's details.
No NRC box is the worry for me.

The advance daybill has the rating, but not the "coming soon to your galaxy" tag, which was used in the US.
It's an interesting poster, but with no other copies seen hard to establish as Aussie.
What is Vic F's background?

Let me know if you're selling the above.
