  • Somewhere over the coming hours I am hoping an answer may be forthcoming.

There is a clue in my last sentence.
  • Sorry, I was leaving for someone else.
No idea the movie but the legs belong to Judy Garland.

Yes 328 is Judy Garland, and well recognised. The scene is from the film Thousands Cheer from 1943.

The somewhere over the rainbow wording in my previous posting referred to the lyrics somewhere over the rainbow from Judy's The Wizard Of Oz film.

  •  329  330
The above rwo actresses may, or maybe not present a problem.
  • Both the above images are from 1950's films.
  • A clue for 329 is adaptation.

A clue For 330 is The ..... girl
  • I must say that I am very surprised that images 329 and 330.  haven't been answered. as yet.

Let's recap my earlier clues. Both images are from 1950's films. 329 clue is Adaptation and 330 is The ...... Girl.

Some new clues then. For 329 Not your normal cast featured in a major mainstream film from that period of time,

For 330 was a major Warmer Brothers player in the 1930's and the 1940's.

  • 330 seems to point toward Joan Blondell, but she mostly did tv in the 50s.  Not her.

My final 330 clue then  is a slight extension of my earlier clue. Have a think about the ....h Girl
  • O.K. seeing that 330 has obviously stumped everyone I will now reveal that the actress in question to be Ann Sheridan. Take Me To Town from 1953, which was made by Universal international after her time at Warmer Brothers  had come to an end.
My clue had referred to Warner Brothers originally naming her as being Hollywood's Oomph Girl

The following is a paperback book  cover of a first-ever full length biography which was only published on 18 July  2024.

Two films she will be remembered for are Kings Row (1942) and I Was A Male War Bride (1949 ) as featured below.

  • A final clue for the yet unanswered 329 is opera.

Combine this clue with my precious clues and I would have to think an answer should not be too far away in in being forthcoming.

Oops! My word precious should have been previous. Unfortunate slip up there.

Hopefully a correct answer will arrive here soon, otherwise I will have to reveal the answer

  • O.k. then,  329 is Dorothy Dandridge in Carmen Jones from 1954.  I am really surprised that no one was able to answer it.

331   332        Everyone seems to have been struggling a little in recent times to recognise, or to work out the answers for this quiz                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                             Let's see now then how we fare with these latest two lovelies.

Well, that makes it Mary Martin.  Son Larry Hagmann of Dallas, I Dream of Jeannie, etc.
The movie was tough to find, but finally found it as a lobby for Happy Go Lucky.
  • 331 is indeed Mary Martin in Happy Go Lucky from 1943. I did think that the Peter Pan clue would work.

  •  333  334
One of the above two images shouldn't prove to be a problem in answering. Not so sure about the other one though.
  • Ooh, ooh.  334 is Jane Powell dancing with Fred Astair in Royal wedding.  No research needed

Correct. Royal Wedding from 1951. Retitled as being Wedding Bells when released  in Australia,

I did think Jay that you would know this one.

  • A 333 clue is invariably cited as being the first of many.
  •  333
An expanded image that hopefully will assist.

First book, but not first movie.  Kind of a cheat.
I suspected Casino Royale based on the hint, but that film came out 5 years after Dr No.  Colombia owned the rights to that one book, while United Artists owned rights to the rest.  Columbia decided to make a spoof of the successful franchise with 7 Bonds.  Horrible confusing film IMO.  Didn't get proper treatment until the Daniel Craig version nearly 40 years later.

Almost forgot.  Ursula Andress, who also starred in Dr No, the actual first Bond film.
  • 333 is of course correct Jay, and some nice information supplied by you as well

. Ursula Andress in Casino Royale from 1967.
