Mario Bava daybills
The late Mario Bava was a very influential horror director in the 1960s and 70s. Unfortunately for daybill collectors, this coincides with the period where the Oz censors were banning horror left and right. I have a few of Bava's daybills and would be interested to know if any others exist.
I have:
* The Evil Eye (A.K.A The Girl Who Knew too Much) - 1963

* Blood and Black Lace - 1964

* Baron Blood - 1972

* House of Exorcism (A.K.A Lisa and the Devil) - 1972

There would be at least another 6 - 8 horror films between 1963 and 1977 that were released; I'd love to know if anyone can shed any light on them.

Black Sunday was most likely banned originally in the early 1960s ( see my ''Films That Were Most Likely Banned In Australia ) thread. The film was also submitted for classification in 1970 and was banned along with a follow up appeal to the Film Censorship Review Board. There is definitely no daybill so I would cease searching.
Black Sabbath most likely banned so no daybill.
Planet Of The Vampires most likely banned so no daybill. My opinion is all of the remaining seven films were either not picked up for distribution in Australia or banned prior to 1970 therefore there will be no daybills in existence. Sad news I am sure.
'What' is the US title for 'The Whip and The Body'.
Wouldn't want it any other way.
Cheers,
dario.
