I Remember When I Saw...

All these birthdays of ancient age have caused me to reminisce about my long life, and more importantly the movie going experiences that have in some way shaped my poster collecting.

  • I'll never forget I had just recently entered the teenage years and my father wanted to see the newly released Apocalypse Now in the theaters. I will never forget that experience! For my first R rated movie it was a shocker! I see the poster up for auction quite frequently, but it always get pushed off the buy list. Someday I'll get it, linenbacked it and have it up to remind me of that time with my Dad...

  • You're showing your age...old man. :p
  • State of mind, Matt!  =) My Papa who recently passed away lived past 100! I've still got a ways to go... ;)....but yeah, I'm getting there!
  • Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade...man that was a blast on the big screen. I didnt discover Raiders until some 20 years later

Good run there! Too true mark and i would add keeping up general fitness, but then some people lving to old age bank it on having a whiskey every day!

Too true, I read an interview with a guy who just hit 100, who when asked by reporters to what he attributed his long life replied somewhat proudly that he "...had never smoked a day in his life, never took to the evil drink and never womanised..."

When reporters asked about the giggling and crashing about in the other room the old man replied, "...oh that's just my father, he always gets like that after a few drinks when he has the ladies over..."
