Agree with Ves, Hunchback is great - art is wonderful.

And of course Danny Kaye, the Wonder Man who keeps this forum going... :D

Wasn`t me, but they used the image of my WC (the only poster for this film I have seen. Ever)
I have noticed some of the images I posted on forums or my blog were used for articles and websites.
Even one newspaper -from Spain- used a few for their printed version, without permission. Bastardos españoles
    ;)
    wash your mouth mr!!! :P

  • A John Wayne fan.
  • I'm not a huge SCI FI/HORROR fan, but man if there was one daybill I would want for that genre it would definitely be that THING daybill.  Bloody fantastic.  I never tire of looking at it!

    A few more:

  • Nice pair of Karloffs...
  • Fantastic paper!  :-O
  • Richest Girl & Racket are very nice! Interesting artwork on Racket. It almost looks like part of a "scene" was "covered" by the title box. Four heads are barely sticking above Howard Hughes name.

Hughes loved to butcher all the RKO posters after he took over the company.

  • If Ves had been involved in the World Champs I think we (Admin) might have had a meeting and agreed to just award her the trophy from the get go. I feel like we have been pummelled in the nicest possible way, I might move to Melbourne so I can bask in her poster collector aura.

Interesting... :-? Obsessed with control? Will have to keep my eye out for his other posters.

Pretty much yes. If I recall there are some write ups in some of the books I have about Hughes' intervention in the RKO advertising materials

I don't believe Howard Hughes interfered with any Australian posters but in this case anyway the incompetent set up of the images on the Australian daybill is solely due to the poster artist. All the material from the U.S. artwork is on the daybill plus a few heads more.
The group at the bottom of the insert poster has been copied almost the same onto the bottom of the Australian daybill as examples shown below except for the chase image has been removed from the original insert image  to have an additional image on the daybill that frankly doesn't work and only appears odd and out of place.
