Finally have a Pulp Fiction...  Now just to pay for it!  :-\"
    WOW CHARLIE
    THAT POSTER LOOKS TOTALLY MINT
I'LL BET YOU HAD TO PAY THROUGH THE NOSE FOR THAT ONE
  • Boy you guys are stingy, nothing in 2 days?  I guess we lost Rick, he's posting his wares of at APF...  :((
  • The quad is from 1975 release in London. There is also a Local version as well. The rerelease quad has the same image but doesn't have the X certification on it.
  • I haven't obtained nothing lately. There were a few that fell through my fingers. Totally forgot about them and then the auction ended. But I guess if I forgot about them then I did not need them that bad right lol.

Love the TCM quad. Is that for a release in the 90's?  I know they re-released this in the UK in the 90's and it has the same picture. I have always been on the lookout for anything TCM at a decent price. I am a cheap skate though and don't like forking out a ton of money for something. The most I have ever paid for a poster is $490 and that was hard to do lol.

  • Well very cool piece. I love the film.
  • I dropped the ball at the recent auction, I had to be away from the computer etc etc so missed out bidding on a couple that I really wanted, but I did pick up a couple that I had placed earlier bids on, so all was not lost...and as they say, beggars can't cry over a stitch in the hand.

  • Michael, that quad has to be THE poster on the title. Great fan of TCM here. I hate you ;)
  • I 100% agree with you Matias about the TCM quad. I didn’t even know it existed until Paul posted a picture of his back in 2011. The TCM quad was the only poster I could not find in 2013. I searched everywhere with no luck. That scene right at the end of the film is one of my favorites.
  • That was a lucky find then!
Somehow this is one of the rare cases where a photographic image works inmensely better that painted/drawn art. That simple pic of Leatherface catches the whole mood of the film for me. Even if the chainsaw is not prominently pictured, the way the bastard is holding it in the air is chilling. Again, what a great poster!!!!
  • Re: TCM, is the X (London) a rating?

I'm not sure if it's a rating or not. Both Mark Lawd and Paul disused the quad here.

  • Ahhh, and here is the salient point:

They agreed to classify the film 'X' without cuts for showings in London.

  • Nice pickups David! :)
  • Cheers Reggie - wish I was around - anyone get that Titanic?

    Re:  Chainsaw Quad

Just to be clear, the film played a couple of venues first time out in the UK. All were cert X.

The posters used in London, obviously had London in Brackets, as the other venues were subject to local council approvals, all the locations were not known, so a (Local) version was printed to cover those.

I have to say of the many TCM Quads I've seen 90% have had the London in brackets, the Local ones seem more scarce...   Maybe because it played in London on and off for years, and the other venues only the once.
  • ^ that is great to know Paul. Now I know what to look for lol. Well I finally picked one up I have been after awhile and I am happy about it. It does have some conditions issues just on the from down the left and right as you can see in the pic. But other then that no cross fold separation, no tears, It is in pretty damn good condition I think.

  • Grats Randy, saw the movie the other week, forgot how silly it was, but I watched it all the way thru'. I think the poster is far better than the movie.  8-X
  • I love the poster and the movie isn't to bad either. I own them all and like to watch them from time to time. I am happy I picked it up.
  • Nice pickup Randy!
  • Thank you Reg. I have another poster in my line of sight that I am gunning for. Will know in about six days if I get it or not. I am trying to save for another Wave Runner and all these posters I have been after for awhile all of a sudden start popping up for auction. Dammit what am I to do :D
  • I know this feeling Randy. When got too many posters on the go and then something u been wanting for ages pops up! Then u start loaning $$$ lol
  • Wave runners are easy to come by. At least easier then some posters. Man what an addiciting hobby. I think we need to start an addicts group for poster collectors lol.
