I must check out the earlier version of 1984

I agree, I’ve never been a fan of him, but this series is superb. I especially liked “The Oner” ep 2, and "The Golden Globes".
Full of lots of in jokes, but very witty too.
Series 2 is on the way. -
It was this image that gave it to me…and I think I can see what you’ve done with the other image! Not a film I’ve seen, but the subject matter is very familiar.

Yes, I like the caricatures, and I can never get enough of that Godzilla poster! Someone should make reprints.

I’m not saying it WAS a stock poster, just that the design gives the first impression that it is. It’s a bit of a sloppy design if you ask me. No others come to mind, but when I see one I’ll let you know.

I had the same thought, that a lot might have come from a dealer with multiple copies….I’m yet to get around to sorting through my next batch to send to Bruce, so some different titles may soon pop up. Still lots of daybills to send off.

Every time I see a poster like this with a big blank section I immediately think it must be a stock poster with room left for a title (like those Goofy daybills), but in this case it’s obviously not because of the image of the two stars. Does anyone…

I love throwing a spanner into the works!

Too easy for me, so I’ll wait a sec or two.

Apart from New Zealand I had no idea of any of this, thought they would have received print material from the US. Was it to do with the Film Exchanges? Did they source prints from here too?
-
Interesting tidbit!

I saw that answer and thought, yes, of course…but apparently not.
Is C14 The Incredible Shrinking Woman (1981)? -
United Artists?

Never heard of it either, but sounds interesting, the sort of stuff I could easily watch.
The New York Times wrote, "this story is really such a farrago … -
I had an idea for 253 too, but I couldn't find the image. I'm assuming i's similar vintage...or earlier.
-
Is 252 Things To Come (1936)? It's quaint seeing how the future was imagined in these old films.
