UA order form.

(Quote) Wuss! Get some 6 & 24 sheets!
Maybe someone with better knowledge of shillings & pents can do a price conversion on what 10 daybills cost in 1954. -
Interesting RKO order form.

I was referring to the big one on wall, not display case in foreground.
So this is Harris was a comedy short from 1933. -
Kong 6 sht with apparent rating circle.
Not impossible, but I doubt they had a printer big enough to spit out a 6sht in one pass.

Never seen the full colour daybill, but has a more "Aussie" flavour than the 6 sheet going by this pic.

-
They had odd / cheapo posters like that for NZ sometimes. Might have missed the usual censor stamp. Some were printed with it.

Usual MAPS, Burton etc.

Difficult to track down exactly when Aussie 3 sheets first appeared, but as far as I can tell they end around 1976. I think Rocky was one of the last printed in Aust. Pity they didn't continue up to Star Wars in 1977.

Similar style daybill to Assault on Precinct 13, first released in Aust c1980. Gloss paper is a dead giveaway of very late 1970s at earliest.

Always keen to hear any Stone info. The release 1sht is one of the hardest posters to find for cult Aussie films.
Quite a few 1970s actors leaving us. I watched My Name is Gulpilil last night & he'll be lucky to see Christmas. Always rememb… -
Rare Aussie slide that I am very proud to own. Sandy Harbutt, who both directed and starred in Stone, passed away in November last year. I believe he had a comprehensive collection of memorabilia. Quentin Tarantino is a fan of the movie, and apparen…

Price is not too bad, actually. Can get two rows of 3 for $1K all up delivered. They disassemble for shipping. Kind of hoping to buy local, but will see. Good thing about those ones is they have the decorative cast iron on both ends. Some aren't lik…

Guy in NSW has these, but shipping to WA is holding me back from purchasing atm.

I've had that poster for a few years. Got it off a fellow who purchased it from the Regal Theatre (Perth) in the 1970s. They auctioned off all the old posters and that's where Matt's Prince & Showgirl 1sht also originated from.
Rear Window …Just picked up yesterday and this is the only movie poster I have ever paid to have framed! Richer tones and more detailed than the W.E. daybill. Six inch rating circle seems more appropriate for a three sheet.in Recent hangings... Comment by Mark July 2021
1939 lobbies with SOFA ratings added. Used in NSW.
Pretty sure this was posted before, but not sure if image has survived.

Nice detective work, Lawrence.Guessing 1940s?
Noir junk. Rip that out and replace it with something decent like a Star Wars daybill!I reckon Matt has been poring over his linen backed PW daybill ever since you posted this!
Like it! Anyone who looks at that poster knows it is original and not a reprint.
I wonder if at some point "survivor posters" might become more valuable than restored. Plenty of other antiques are more desirable in original condition.
I've got a bunch of daybills that were literally hung on a nail. All have a big split in top section. Conjures up an image of some old country hall with plank floor and rows of fold-up seats! Some of them are going to people who have never bought from me before and don't appear to be regular mp collectors. Of course it's true that I am selling them at less than half value, so there is an element of cost.
I quite like the distressed …five bound volumes, gilt lettered on spine 'Paramount Releases' July-Dec 1930, 1933, 1934, 1936 & 1938. Colour & b/w ills, large foolscape
37.5 x 25 cm
Estimate $200-400Would have liked them at $400!
