That sounds like the yearbook I recall. Had either 6 months or full year of colour press sheets / manuals including Duck Soup and another Mae West title. Was a very nice collection that would have come from the Paramount Aussie HQ.

(Quote) Do the 1930 ones have classification?
There was a really nice yearbook of Aussie press sheets that sold recently at Bill Collins auction. They were 1930s, but were bound and probably glued in. -
He's a real cinema nut. Bought a lot of old slides from me over the years.
I am currently considering a 1938 Aussie Raycophone similar to this one. Non-functional, but would make a nice display piece alongside some period cinema seating.

Bruce has Clearing the Range 1931 Aussie press sheet in auction history.
There must be articles about the censor ratings being introduced somewhere in Everyones.
After looking at so many posters, my eye instantly goes to the rating… -
What's the earliest Aussie press sheet with classification?
Haven't seen many pre-war examples. -
Probably 1932 in Australia.

Good spot, Bruce.
I only looked at the titles and saw both 1931 films.

c1932 herald.
Doesn't seem to be much pre-1930 with classification around.

Doesn't help, but reminds me of Blacula.

For General Exhibition / Not Suitable FGE sounds more like a directive to the cinema owner, rather than the patrons. Maybe that's why they amended it to Suitable Only for Adults / Not Suitable Children.

I am just pointing out that a 27 inch matt daybill was produced. The scaling is different to 28 inch, so it's not just shorter margins top & bottom. This was from a separate print run.

There is so much money being pumped into economies, people have to spend it somewhere. That's probably what the top of pyramid guys are counting on.
Not sure many serious investors really go for movie posters. I don't think they are very reliab… -
I wouldn't know, but doesn't sound very scientific in the way you have explained it.
How do the slicees decide what poster to buy and for how much? If there was one educated investor, why would he/she dice up their own pie? -
Unusual Australian one sheet for Little Women.

To be honest, I assumed that ratings in Aust began around 1933, because that's the year they seem to appear most commonly. I also assumed that we were pretty much following America's lead with code / pre-code standards. Never did any actual research…Have this 1930 US poster with snipe attached. Was found with other Aussie posters dating from around 1934 - '35.

Aussie slide again from c1933 with tiny decal added. Probably one of the earliest to feature a rating. Seems to have a space left for it.

Always knew you were rich!Still strong underbidding to get up to that price. Venus was nice, but others not much.Probable buyer is Charles Chauvel's family, which would be appropriate.I bought a collection from a fellow who worked at The Film Centre in the 1980s. He told me that once a film was no longer being distributed, they would pull the posters and use the one sheets for wrapping paper. There were posters going back to the…Appreciate the advice, Chris & John.
A keen-eyed VMPF member has now claimed it for their collection.
I didn't want to use tape and cause further problems down the track.
Anyway, I'm glad it's off to a good home!
Thanks agai…Thanks, Mark.
This is a poster I will be selling and need to ship (hence prob with tackiness of glue).
The paper is so brittle it chips away in flakes and I'm scared to scrape.
I find UnDu softens glue, but doesn't dissolve it.
…This is my basic formula:
25 years from release becomes collectible / gains nostalgia.
25 years later, demand tapers off. Obviously this is a generational influence.
