  • Don 't want to drift too far off topic, but you have to love the plot of that film:

In the summer of 1937, a dangerous gang of counterfeiters are transporting illegal money from the United States into Canada concealed inside frozen trout.…
  • (Quote) Renfrew?

  • I used carby clean a few times on cheap posters. Took the tape off pretty good and left no marks. Probably not the recommended method though!
  • I love that ratings advice. It seems they only used it around 1944 - 1945.
It's worth $500, but I don't think there was much mileage above that.

  • Would you have paid the price?

  • Last year he had a beauty for The Body Snatcher 1945 RKO with Lugosi / Karloff. He had $595 on it, but was going to give me $75 off for out of frame. It was gone next time I went ...

  • Bulldog has been on sale for a fair while. I think he has $245 on it.
Can't remember on That other Woman, but probably similar.
There's a Belgian for Incredible Shrinking Man just out of shot.

  • One of my regular haunts. Real old school poster guy who was buying up in the 1970s. Seen some good ones go through like long dbs for GWTW & When Kelly's Rode. Has loose posters as well.

  • 5 - 10 I'm seeing stuff like Tarantino films, Star Wars prequels, LOTR & Harry Potter coming on.
'80s stuff could begin to die off just like the '70s stuff has.
Horror and sci-fi will remain strong with the dedicated.

  • (Quote) Sorry, I missed that. And nope, got nothing else.

  • (Quote) There was a whole hoard of other stuff from the 1950s. Posters, stills etc. It was probably genuine, but even so, who cares!

I've never even tried to sell that JF daybill. The whole signature market is just ruined.

  • Got this off a collector who was a fan of Jane Fonda. Signed at her book launch in Sydney, 2006.
Also recently had a woman try and sell me a ciggy butt smoked by Jerry Lewis back in the '50s. Apparently her mum was a big fan and she rushed acros…

  • Keep your eyes peeled for an original MM1 script. I don't believe one has ever turned up.

  • I had these call sheets and other documents from the set of MM2. They came from the actor who played Wez's boyfriend (gay guy who copped boomerang in the scone).
The director's sketches are for the big opening scene. I believe it is the only cop…

  • I wouldn't usually trust imdb, but they got it right this time.
    That poster is R94.
  • 7mate has cash cowboys. I just watched a new ep last night. I noticed they don't find many posters, just beavers & canoes!

  • This appeared in the Canberra Times March 31, 1994.
Note "adults at children's prices" tag in session times.

  • They are very common. As a kid we always knew them as mopokes.
I guarantee there are plenty around Glenhaven!
    Seriously weird suckers!
  • You sure that's a boobook? Looks more like a tawny frogmouth to me, Matt.

    Hence the name>>

  • Here is the Little Mermaid (dated at bottom 1989) which imdb has as Aust release 1990 & sans tag. The posters I remember seeing with the tag are from that early '90s period. The two styles of Lion King in 1994 & Toy Story in 1995 are without…
  • Here are a couple more I found with the prices tag. Blinky Bill was 1992 release. Pan I'm not sure but style of poster is identical to Rescuers Down Under which was released here in 1991.

  • In 1977 I saw The spy who loved me as a nine year old boy and immediately fell in love with Barbara Bach. God she was hot in that escape pod thing at the end!
Spy was the second movie poster I ever bought, after Moonraker.
