A peaceful hush has fallen over the hobby ...
But how long can it last? How long till he reaches behind the wardrobe and retrieves that trusty pump action? How long till the mad sprays of unheard of bargains and unparalleled service rage …

You can get info on Aus video release dates at the office of film & lit classification site. The VHS collectors are passionate, but I have found that the popular cinema titles don't always carry over. They seem to go in for…I've seen that one before. From memory Cinema International Corp (CIC) became United International Pictures (UIP) around 1981. They retained the old company's initials for their video division as seen on the poster. At one stage the logo changed…(Quote) Craig has one, but that's the only other copy I've seen. Hell of a nice poster, but then so is Scrubbers ... :PThe daybill artists were on their game with this one. What a beauty!
Go to site map at bottom of page, then completed listings. Refine search from there on left navigation bar. It may be possible on the US site to search for just originals, but the Aus site doesn't break down that far.The theme of my store is built around nostalgia and posters as gifts. Plenty of sales in the $30 - $100 range, but over that results taper off. When setting up I asked myself: Why do people go on ebay to shop? I believe the answer is quite diff…You can go into completed listings & search for sold items in movie memorabilia > posters on ebay. Bruce is already very generous in holding the posters for OS buyers to combine. From memory it was 4 weeks? The only reason I haven't bought anything is because I don't collect anymore (except rolled Star Wars with no foxing at very cheap price…(Quote)
I grew up in a rural area ( where David lives) so it was all dirt bikes, flanno shirts & desert boots. On Any Sunday was more my thing! Bruce Brown also involved in the production. What a gem!
That Kwai was stored in a big pile of daybills out in a guy's garden shed since the 1970s. His wife wouldn't allow the posters inside!I was looking at a lot of backed posters a few weeks ago and the white areas seemed very star…I thought you might have sold some a very long time ago before the problems were evident.Where does all this leave the posters in question? It sounds like they will deteriorate further. Thanks for great info, Charlie. Generally, I don't see Aust posters ageing / browning that badly.I was just wondering if John has sold posters backed by the same guy and how he will deal with any complaints?I guess you're right. My knowledge is limited, but I always thought that linen backing was a reversible practice. From what John has been saying the situation appears to be a little more complex. It doesn't seem like the poster can ever stand on…Until someone convinces me otherwise I'm remaining a sceptic about deacidification.I know I'm old school, but why not just isolate the poster in a poly sleeve and leave the poor thing in peace. It doesn't want all that handling, immersing in f…Apart from supporting the paper, how else is linen backing helping to preserve a poster? Great for framing and restoration, but I can't see the advantages when it is still exposed to air.(Quote) Saw Ves getting a few. Don't think the guy was posting outside Aus. Couldn't leave Ramona at that $.Couple of oldies I picked up. Ramona has artist's sig for Montgomery Campbell. Colours are just sublime.I'm wondering if this was some kind of milestone? All those recent posters seem a bit celebratory to me ...I love those old projectors.
One of the Burton guys is still around. He wrote a short article about the business which was interesting. JR or someone might have a copy they can paste into another thread. He also had, or still has, some billboard posters like 16 & 24 sheets.<…How about 3 sheet quantities? I know they were printing them in the 1970s. Not sure about the 80s though. What about posters without MAPS Litho printed on bottom?
