Its just my opinion, as I said.
Both Bruce and HA have so many items that it is easy to miss some things. Same is true with ebay. If something great comes up on ebay, I don't see a problem with "outing" it but all I am doing is expre… -
I hadn't really looked at that thread before but I don't really get your point that if someone highlights a hidden gem on EMP or HA that is OK but not OK if the same poster was on ebay.
Just my opinion!
…If "outing" is frowned upon then maybe you should delete this .....
http://vintagemoviepostersforum.com/discussion/6…I would be interested to know what the restorer had to say about the missing posters. The fact that it has happened twice recently with packages from the same person indicates that there is an issue that others should be warned about.I have boxes of US, Australian and British pressbooks. They would be well into the thousands but I have never actually counted them. They are mainly 50s - 80s but some earlier. There are some rare ones amongst them including this one!
#65 is from And Then There Were None 1945 with Barry Fitzgerald.(Quote) This may be true but I doubt that Australia Post would be much help with that sort of information. Not sure about overseas postal services but unless the package is insured they usually don't offer much help at all.

Just because you insure a package for what you think is the full value doesn't mean you will be paid out in the event of a lost package. It happened to me once also with linen backed posters and there was nothing I could do because the package wasn't insured. Of course it you get them insured then you are up for customs duty. A Post War daybill!
Slightly in defence of Heritage, it could be argued that the poster is for the official 1968 release albeit delayed in Australia. Note the tagline "the original uncut version - unseen for 35 years". The Australian posters were obviously printed…Well, its a new one for me!(Quote)
I've never heard of the expression "hump day" in Australia either.Vic Forsythe worked for the distributors in Qld for 30 years. He used to salt away posters from every movie, sometimes multiples. When he passed away about five years his collection came up for sale. I would say that it must be by far the largest co…(Quote) The reason for that would be that is probably pre classification, advance.
It is 27" x 40" and (I think) corresponds with the similar alternate style daybill. You can never tell what the framer might have done to secure the poster until it is out of the frame. Thanks David
