Some great images in that book.

Great Scott indeed! That price is way over the top.
-
Yes I think that's right
-
There are some with and some without printers details. I couldn't say for sure whether it applies to most 3 sheets from that period without checking them all.
-
I have around 3 - 400 Australian 3 sheets. I have certainly noticed that some late 50s and early 60s have no printers details but have never actually done a count. I would need an assistant to get that done!
-
That's correct. There is a piece missing on the bottom lh corner but I doubt it would have had printers details there.
-
And a 3 sheet as well ....

-
Yes indeed, very rare.
-
This is a rare one...

Some of the images are from various books and many others are from posters that I have sold over the years. I'm guessing that they may have come from the NFSA. I have a lot more images to add but wish I had more time to do it.

It does look like it could be a 3 sheet - never seen it before. I wondered whether that Typhoon Treasure poster at the beginning of this thread could be a three sheet also.

I have had a Gallery of rare Australian movie posters for Australian films on my site for quite a few years. There are some very rare ones there. I still add images from time to time and have a lot more to come ...

I have never had that one sheet but I know of two that exist. Interesting to see the images of some of the others that I have had in the past or still have like It Isn't Done and Wings of Destiny, etc. I have a lot of other rare images of other…Yes, I think it is Australian - no censorship
Very nice examples of Australian artists, presumably trade ads. Where did they come from?I think you might be right about that. I actually sold it as a 50s release card but not entirely sure when it was printed. Here is a card I sold a few years ago ......
There is so much information on this forum it is easy for threads to be forgotten! Here is the other thread ....
http://vintagemoviepostersforum.com/discussion/1067/australian-window-cards/p1I think there is another thread about this one. It certainly is an unusual poster printed on card stock very similar to US window cards. It has Australian censorship so was clearly printed for use in Australia.(Quote) Yes, that opening scene with Clifton Webb typing his column in the bath was considered very risqué at the time.
#6 looks like Tanya Roberts in Sheena Queen of the Jungle. How about this one ....
Is #8 Bo Derek in Tarzan the Ape Man?Interesting looking at The Iron Man. Maybe that's where the writers for Dr Who go their inspiration for Daleks!
Wonderful displays and great to see the photos.(Quote) Yes, I sold that one some time ago. Strange how material on this film is so scarce.(Quote) I have three full colour Australian lobby cards for Into the Straight. You must have missed seeing those!
1b is from an Australian Film Weekly trade magazine. Some of the centerfolds from those magazines are as good as any posters and very much underrated.
