(Quote) I agree. The Simpsons has been incredibly popular over the years and that poster would have to be the most sought after for collectors.
-
Funny you should mention that about the Octopussy one sheet because I was looking at a Clash Of the Titans one sheet today which also has logos on the bottom for MacDonalds and Mattel. Other one sheets I have seen have the same art but no logos ……

There are some comments online about Border Security opening packages and not repacking them properly so they end up getting damaged in transit. I doubt that they would accept responsibility.

No problem! He also did the art for Stephen Kings Cats Eye posters.

The artist is Jeff Wack

Charlie, the information and research that you have provided has been invaluable. Well done!

I have had a couple of one sheets but they sold some time ago. Would love to find another one!

Excellent information Lawrence. I have many Blake Films Sexploitation posters and many more images of posters that I have sold over the years. They sometimes printed posters in different colours for the same film and just used the images from US or …

It sounds like it could have been some sort of collage of photos rather than an actual film. Note the comment "For the first time in Sydney a New and Up to date version (especially taken during the past month).

(Quote) Yes. The consignor is probably factoring in the cost of linen backing but I would guess that most lots will be passed in.

(Quote) Great research Lawrence. It is described as "a series of animated pictures" and a "picture story". It would be interesting to know exactly what format it actually was.

(Quote) Interesting that the posters seem to be all linen backed with no restoration. When you factor in Buyers Premium of 19.5% Plus GST the starting bids are high.

This is part of an Everyone's 8 page spread promoting King Kong. Lawrence did refer to a trade ad for Wednesday's Child which was also from Everyone's magazine. Not sure what significance should be placed on the logo in the ad but it is worth showin…

RKO Logo from The Fountain (1934) long daybill

The King Kong daybill does look like it could be a later release but the poster also looks as though it has faded somewhat so it may have looked a lot more impressive in its original form. It would be great to be able to definitively pin down a rele…

(Quote) That's interesting Bruce because with Australian posters, I find that one sheets lag far behind daybills in terms of popularity. I think Australian collectors tend to overlook one sheets and I often hear people say that they are only intere…

Thanks Bruce.

It would be nice to hear Hondo's thoughts but there are others here who also might have an opinion.

(Quote) Do you have anyone in mind?

I think the MGM logo on the daybill I have pictured is significant.
