For anyone interested to know my three clues were for the famous B grade film producer Sam Katzman, his producrion company Clover Productions, and his distribution company Columbia pictures.,
It looked like the model work from Gerry Anderson productions so I thought it was going to be that era anyway. The no puppets clue was a dead giveaway.

Correct for 235. I had thought that after adding my last clue an answer shouldn't to be far away. I had viewed this film on late night television many years ago, and I do remember it to be a real stinker.
