I Love a Mystery Columbia Series ( 1945 - 1946 )

The I Love a Mystery Columbia series. Original U.S.A. one sheet images for each of the three titles in this series, with these being I Love a Mystery ( 1945 ),  The Devil's Mask ( 1946 ) & The Unknown ( 1946 ). The three films were based on an original radio program titled I Love a Mystery.

The Devil's Mask is the only one of the three titles that I was able to locate an image of. Does anyone have any daybill images of either or both I Love a Mystery and The Unknown ?

These Columbia Pictures film series were based on  using  the same character/s or themes and are following on the heels of the earlier presented RKO Pictures series which had met with mixed responses. As the first in these new Columbia Pictures series presentations, The Whistler has proved to be a major disappointment after all the work and research that went into it, with no responses received and also little in the way of viewings happening. Seeing that I had the I Love A Mystery thread completed and sitting in my drafts folder, and after some considerable time was spent  time on it also, there is no point in letting it go unseen. Future planned series titles from Columbia Pictures, followed by other studios series, will not now eventuate.

    Hi Sven,
We don't hear from you very often, but when we do it is usually with a wonderful very rare poster image.
Thanks for posting it and it is most appreciated..

Your comment above from August 2018 about the then missing Australian daybill. What do you think of the Australian artwork version Ves?
  • Honestly, based off the one sheet I was expecting something nicer than a massive headshot...but having said that, it is still a lovely poster.

I do very much like the daybill artwork,
