Re: My 1/2 sheet collection
Wow, that is lovely and I'd love it in my collection. I went to Monument Valley on one of my trips to the US. It is stunning.

Re: Double Bill Daybills
Thanks for the image Lawrence. Thats a rare one!HONDO said:
The following images are of U.S.A., U.K. and New Zealand double bill film posters of Daughtrs Of Satan and Superbeast where they were released. These films were also screened in many other countries around the world.
A New Zealand daybill printed for the films' release there.
The two films Daughters Of Satan and Superbeast were both 1972 releases that were never screened in Australia. Interestingly the Australian film rights were controlled by major distributor United Artists. On checking the Refused Classification website neither of the two films are listed there as being banned in Australia. Were the films actually banned here and just not listed as such, or perhaps due to their extremely poor IMDb ratings consisting of only 4.5/10 and 3.3/10 that they were rejected for importation here. For whatever reason though we will never know if they had reached our shores if they would have been screened as a double bill programme or not, and what form of poster/s would have been printed for their distribution here.

Yes, it certainly is ultra rare and a great designHONDO said:
The impressive above Australian daybill of the 1957 film The Smallest Show On Earth is currently one of 41 Australian posters included there on your newly included Tuesday auctions. This poster should be credited as being ultra rare as all your nine Australian daybills that you have sold in the past are not this original design, but are for a 1970's Australian re-release design, therefore making the above original design ultra rare. I thought you would like to know this information.

Yes, it appears that way. It would have been great to see more double bill daybills. There would have been lots of double features over the years including B Grade and sexploitation films.

Re: Hondo's This And That
The above image is of Blake Edwards as he appeared in the 1949 western film Panhandle. Apart from some early minor acting roles he was of course renowned as being a very famous film producer, director and writer.

I think 273 is First Men in the Moon. If not, this movie had very similar aliens!

The Bucks Party (1978) three daybill versions. This short film was shot on 16mm with a running time of only 38 minutes.. The first two daybills were distributed for solo bookings of the film. The second option was for three films to be booked together for screenings. This programme consisted of The Bucks Party (38 minutes), Snow White And The Seven Perverts (1973) (11 minute animated film) and Sinderella (1972) a short animated film of 5 minutes duration. This programme had a combined rurnnng time of 54 minutes.
