I think your reasoning is sound. Films often change their title before they get released. The original title may not have tested well, or confused people...Americans!!!!!!

Two of my good friends John and Mary Spicer, who were husband and wife in real life appeared in the film where they also played husband and wife. Both the above posters were printed for the U.S.A., with the American distributor New Line Cinema credited on both posters. I believe that the above first featured black background image is only advance pre release artwork printed before the second above official release titled changed one sheet was produced. I will hold back on revealing some other information to support this, hoping firstly that I hear from anyone agreeing or disagreeing with this thinking.

Its not overprinted. If you compare the cloud at the top left on both posters, you can see where that is slightly cropped on the shorter version. So, about one inch has been cropped leaving the "...Remember he's on your side" text closer to the top heading text. They are two different printings.dedeposter said:Is the text of "...Remember he's on your side" (and don't get me started on the punctuation of that line!), Is it overprinted with white ink, or is it the absence of blue ink that creates the text? If it's white ink then it may have been added in a separate pass and been slightly misaligned during a second pass through the printer (but still doesn't answer other differences).
