Perhaps it was produced as part of a series of circus posters, that highlighted the different animals? Maybe placed under a larger banner type, that had the circus's name? (This is a pure guess, tho).

How was this Spanish poster known to be for the same movie, without any studio information or actors listed, and especially Karloff's name?

Airbrushed (painted over) folds would be easy to see, held in bright light. If you see no evidence of either actual, physical paper folds or airbrushed (added) paint, then this is likely a 1980's reproduction that was discussed a few posts ago.

The fact that a French 1P, supposedly from 1962 and NOT ever folded (rolled) would/should be a huge RED flag, I would think.
Even today, French 1Ps are still folded.

Both issues reflect how it was printed at the time. This isn't later damage or fading. To cover it over is covering part of its history. I say leave it as is.

Turns out the Metropolis 3 sheet is just one the S2 re-creation copies. This was confirmed by Grey Smith.
Bummer. I thought another uber rarity had been found.
