Exceptional information. One long daybill that he didn't do from that early period was Of Human Bondage. That art was done by an American Walter Seaton who did a few RKO and RKO/Pathe posters in the 30s.

c 1926 - The first Jumbo Lobby Card 14" x 17"
c 1900 (?) - the first Herald - something cheap like a handbill would be fairly early. -
I don't have any images for Republic serials but here is a 1930s Universal one adapted from a King Features Newspaper comic strip. It was also a comic book in Australia in the 40s and 50s called Sergeant Pat of the Radio Patrol.

They must have copied that from Scientology. That's the sort of stuff - surveillance, harassment etc that they do to former members (and get away with!).

Posters (movie or otherwise) are best measured in price against those of other collectables and not against that of fine art, antiques and other decorative arts that have a scholarly history well before that of posters. Collecting movie posters also…

Not much compared to Rock's, my only poster newbie Tarzan's Peril half sheet. I did get a good auction pick up with some old photos - 1920's mostly Tom Mix related, 210 in all.

The Desperate Hours daybill is about the only good poster on that title.

I would say all the John Richardson signed daybills that have surfaced would be only known copies. The Harry Davidson Collection Auctions turned up quite a few.

I know of two daybills surfacing for Treasure of the Sierra Madre. The one below was for sale by a U.S. dealer a few years back.That Paget dance was no doubt the inspiration for:

Here's Pot O Gold 1sheet from around the Robin Hood era with the old VP logo.
Victory Publicity started using the VP logo (the type used on that Robin Hood 3 sheet) in about May 1946 on Warner Brothers, RKO and 20th Fox posters, before then the Warner ones (daybills anyway) simply printed the Victory name at the bottom. The n…White Heat is one of the few 40's crime daybills I haven't had, I have an image of a photocopy though.
