Then again it appears as if it always had a yellow base then the green wash was loosely applied round the area to be left for the ratings decal (the red would have always looked far more effective on yellow than green).

(Quote) I'm currently having the foxing removed followed by linen backing. As for the yellow 'patch', yes rather unsightly, a pitty whoever carried out the cover up didn't take greater effort to match the green.
